Leaks on the engine are commonly misdiagnosed. I have had a lot of people think that the "head gasket" is leaking when it is actually the "valve cover gasket". Find out the actual configuration of your engine before thinking the worse. A good look to confirm exactly where the oil is coming from could save you a lot of money.
Removing and changing the water pump on a 2000 Grand Caravan should only be done if your van has a 3.3 liter or 3.8 liter V6 engine. On any other engine types, including four-cylinder engines, you must remove the timing belt from the engine to access the water pump, which is a dangerous task that can mess up the engine if attempted by an amateur. The procedure is as follows:-------------The water pump is responsible for sending the engine coolant to the engine.First of all remove the serpentine belt then remove the plastic cove on the passenger side behind the wheel. You will have to remove the pulley. Once the pulley is removed unbolt the water pump and remove it. Clean the surfaces and install new pump. Draining the coolant and replacing it is advisable.Drain the engine coolant, twisting and removing the drain plug at the bottom of the radiator -------------------Thats it.
Need more info. Where is the coolant leak coming from? There is a "weep hole" on the water pump. Coolant will generally start escaping from that hole as the seal wears/ages.
The "stalled out" condition could be related to some other issue.

pipe.
Install a new gasket on the water pump.
Install the pump inlet opening over the water pipe and press until
the pipe is completely inserted into the pump housing.
Install the water pump-to-block mounting bolts and tighten to 20
ft. lbs. (27 Nm).
Install the timing belt and timing belt covers. Install and adjust
the drive belts.
Reconnect the negative battery cable. Fill the cooling
system to the proper level with a

mixture of clean, ethylene glycol antifreeze and
water.
Run the engine and check for leaks. Top off the coolant level, if
necessary.
It is located behind the Timing Belt in the "V" of the Cylinder Banks. Yes you have to remove the Timing Belt Cover and Timing Belt to access. Sorry :( Let me know if this helped.
Make sure it's cool, pop the radiator cap, Remove the shield on the passenger side between the tire and front of engine. Relieve the tension on the serp belt, draw yourself a diagram of the pulleys and belt routing in case the sticker is gone on the strut tower, remove the serp belt. Take the bolts out of the pulley on the front of the water pump (3). Remove the lower radiator hose at the front cover to drain the coolant. Remove the 6 mm bolts holding the water pump to the front cover housing. tap on the pump with a rubber hammer. Install a new gasket on the new pump, and a weap hole diverter in the pump (round black about hte size of a quarter), use old one if there's no new one. Install pupm and tighten bolts snug with a 1/4" ratchet. Install pulley and 3 bolts. Install belt, top off radiator with 50/50 mix green coolant. start engine and run to operating temperature, make sure the belt is seated in all of the pulleys and is running true, radiator fans should come on. Shut engine down and let cool overnight. Check level in radiator and overflow bottle, top off as necessary.
Unplug wires, remove cover there are 2 plastic push in pins holding it. You will have to remove screw in sensor above it. With cover off you can see the 3 bolts holding it on. Pay attention to gaskets and plate. They do offer these rebuilt.
the 3.0 liter engine was known to walk out cam shaft seals. there are covers over the camshaft gears that can be removed and you should be able to see if the seal has came out
