if the blower fan is working then you need to change the thermostat and make sure the heater core is not bad. if the fan is not working then check the fuse maybe your regulator or fan is bad also try bleeding the thermostat
It sounds like the heater coil needs flushing out or replacing or the heater valve. Look on the engine firewall and make sure the heater valve is opening. If not open it manually and check the heat level. If that produced heat check the condition of the heater vale cable (or vaccum hose).
It sounds like the blower motor is not working. If you don't hear it running when you switch it on, check the fuse first. If the fuse is OK, you will probably need a new blower motor. It could also be a faulty fan switch or blower motor resistor. Once you remove the blower motor assembly, you can test it by putting battery voltage across the contacts with jumper wires, making sure to get correct polarity. If it does not spin, it should be replaced. If the blower does work when removed, the fan switch is probably at fault. The resistor is usually indicated when the fan works only at certain switch positions, but not all.
Sounds like you need a blower motor resistor located down under dash on pass side next to blower motor. This is a comon problem and I have changed many of them. thats just the fan speed problem. Ive seen the blend doors break easily on those jeeps. thats inside the heaer core box and moves the flap from hot air to cold air. If it is stuck halfway -or mostly to cold- you may only get luke warm air. If they had the heater core out-maybe they possibly broke it.
The heat in your car comes from the heater core,it's a baby radiator under the dash,The coolant from the engine flows through it, So as the engine coolant gets hotter so does your heater core. If the coolant is not getting warm you might want to replace the thermostat, that will help alot. Your blower fan gets it's different speeds from a devise called "the blower motor resister" you will need to change that.
unless you got visable signs of leakage its not heater core, but it could be pluged with sediment. take off both heater hoses and flush it both ways until it runs clear. you can also mix a little baking soda and water and pour in core and let set for a while and then flush.
