The first thing to do would be to check the fuses and relays covering those functions. In reality, you need and auto electrician with a pro grade scan tool computer.
If your radio is getting power then your fuse is not burnt out. Your radio probably is the problem for not having any sound. the sound is a function of the internals of the radio. your best bet is to either go to the wrecking yard and purchase another radio that fits your Jeep compass. Install it and see the result. My gut feeling is that your current radio just went south and its time to replace it.
No because if the phone connection works, it means the radio amplifier works. You either have a radio stage issue or an aerial issue. In fact it appears to be a well known issue!

Your owners manual should have fuse box info. The integrated power module should be under the hood close to air cleaner assembly. The top may have label telling you which fuse does what.
