My rear passenger door will not open, how do i unlock the child proof lock

Could be Child safety lock help prevent the rear doors from being opened accidentally. The child safety lock levers are located on the edge of the rear doors.

page 14 of your owners manual shows how to lock unlock the child proof setup on door -----open door and by latch will see the the lock move to unlock position ! CAUTION LOCKING WITH REAR DOOR CHILDPROTECTORS Turn the lock knob to the "LOCK" position as shown on the label. Make sure that the kid proof locks have not been clicked on. The little lever on the side of the door if set to child lock , wont allow you to unlock the door automatically or from the inside.

check the position of the child proof latch on the door

Your Tempo is equipped with early child-proof rear door locks...(cannot open from the inside when locked) Open the doors from the outside and look near the door catch for a small switch that moves back and forth...if still labeled it should show "Lock...Unlock" marks...leave on unlock for normal opening from inside. Open the door and look at the back edge of the door by the latch there will be a small sliding lever to enable/disable the child lock.

I have a bunch of 94 rodeos, and the locks are normal, up and down type, The driver's door locks the whole car. The rear and passenger only lock themselves, from the inside, from the outside, you have to hold the handle up. The driver's door will lock the whole car but you have to hold the handle up to lock the door. otherwise they all open again.I always use the key on the driver's door. If you are talking about the child proof lock on the inside of the door, it just flicks up and down. The rear door is opened when the glass is up. You have to unlock the glass either from the dash or the key in the back. Hope this helps.

does it open from the outside if you unlock the door,
if it does the child lock lever is on,open door and on the latch side of the door is a little lever that you can move to make it child proof or not
