The heat blower in my 1997 pontiac bonneville runs continuously. it runs on "high", even when the heat/ac is turned off, when the car is turned off and the key is out of the ignition. this problem has destroyed one battery. my only solution so far is to pull the 30 amp ac fuse from under the hood, which stops the blower from running. however, it is now getting cold out, and it is very inconvenient to pull and replace a fuse under the hood every time i need heat. someone suggested i may have a bad "high speed fan relay". any suggestions?

SOURCE: how to open my pontiac bonneville 98 hood when the

See if you can grab the broken cable end with a pair of vise grips then just pull. It also helps to give a slight bounce on the leading edge of the hood while pulling, to take tension off the lock mechanism if it is binding.
The cable is exactly like the hand brake cable on a bicycle...You need to pull the inner cable.

yOUR HEATER CORE NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. ANTIFREEZE CONTINUALLY RUNS THROUGH YOUR HEATER CORE WITH OR WITHOUT THE HEAT OR AC BEING ON. THIS ALLOWS YOUR ANTI-FREEZE TO COOL ABIT WHEN IT RETURNS TO THE BLOCK.

Hello I have a 1997 Bonneville SE 3.8 with climate control display shows AC is on and Blower is high. BUT no AC and no Blower. I checked power connector at the blower motor and is reading 1.5 Volts.

you need new blower module located at blower under hood, against the firewall under the relays it has four or five wires in it, and two bolts holding it in.
