Test for power at the rear defroster grid panels to make sure you're getting power and ground.

SOURCE: major power window problems. 2000 pontiac bonneville

I had this problem where only the drivers door power equipment works.

It is caused by a splice under the driver's seat. Spice #S302 where the input from the drivers door module to the other door modules connects. It is one of those cheap *** splice that should be outlawed. Moisture gets in it and corrodes. Cut back the wires till you get the good stuff and redo it the right way.

Splice S302 can be found under the carpet about six inches before where the wires go up to the drivers seat. It is in a plastic wrap and tape. I believe the wires for the window are brown and white.

Location of fuse for defrost

There should be a fuse in the interior fuse panel for the rear window defroster, but the windshield defrost is a mechanical connection from the heater controller. If your heater works out of the vents and the floor position, but not diverting air to the defroster you most likely have an issue with either the cable or the diverter door itself.

Where do i find rear defrost connection point on a 2004 pontiac grand prix

In the fuse panel inside the passenger side door. The panel cover pulls of from the side of the dash board and should have a schematic printed on the inside of the cover.

Rear window defrost not working on 2012 Chevy Malibu

I don't think its supposed to clear off snow, only fog or condensation. Try to remove the snow, and see if it will clear the fog. The wires connecting the defroster to the window should be on the side of the window, or behind a cover somewhere. Look for something like this:a26b694c-156d-416f-ab62-366c344c0aa7.jpg

I have a 1990 Ford Taurus and my blinkers don't

blinkers sounds like the flasher unit is not working. It's located under dash. Also check for burnt out bulbs.
Rear defrost, or rear defogger?: Your defogger for the rear window would run off a relay, probably located in the fuse panel of your car. Often, the connections at the rear window get broke or disconnected.
Front defrost: does your heater blower work?

NO REAR WINDOW DEFROST

First thing to do is test these fuses with a tester light. Check the A/C cruise control fuse 10 amp (left side of dash in panel), heated mirror fuse 10 amp (right side of dash in panel), this is also where you will find the circuit breaker and relay for the rear defroster. Test the breaker for power in and out. Feel the relay to see if it clicks when you turn on the rear defrost

I have lost all power to the rear hatch of my 2005 Toyota Sequoia. Rear defroster is out, power rear window is out, rear wiper is out. Is there a fuse to check?

I had the same thing happen...I already had the rear door taken apart because the latch mechanism had failed and I was replacing that (not too bad a job: $100 part and 2 hours)...while I had the door apart I tried tapping on the window motor with hammer to get it working again...that did not seem to do anything. I then started looking at fuses.. There are 3 fuse boxes under the hood, and 1 panel by the driver's left knee. The top left fuse in the driver's left knee fuse box was labeled "TAIL". I pulled that one and even though it was not burned through...it looked a little funny (had some discoloration on the contacts like it had been getting hot). I replaced that and then shut the rear door and started up the engine. What do you know..everything works. I think it was likely the fuse...but who knows. Maybe this will work for someone else too.

Rear defroster doesnt work. Connections are fine on window. No scratches on the lines. Where is the fuse?

End of your dash at drivers side, where you open door, pull panel & read map. Also have another power distribution box under hood if not in there.

Rear window defroster, no driver heated seat

check the ground on the passenger side of the rear window under the trim panel. That is what was wrong with mine.
