It's really pretty easy. Locate the fuse panel. Now, look at the inside lid. What fuse does what is listed (usually) on the inside lid, or on the fuse panel, next to the fuses. Again usually, in about the middle of the panel, there is a fuse puller. It will look like a wide but short pair of tongs, and is usually black, and is recessed into the fuse panel. Use this tool to remove and re-install the fuses that you desire to check. When viewing most fuses from the side, a good fuse will have an "S" (on it's side) shaped element running through it from one terminal to the other. A blown, or bad, fuse will have a part of the "S" missing. Most fuse blocks have spare fuses in them, and are marked as spares. If the fuse that you are seeking is bad, replace it with one of the spares. They are color coded according to their electrical rating and marked as well. Replace the bad fuse with one of the same kind and color.

Fuses for this vehicle are under the hood on the right side ahead of the driver's side, there is a box there has a cover, this contains the fuses and relays.

Check your owners manual for fuse location. Most likely under the dash, drivers side.

I cannot find the fuse box for the heated seats in my Jeep Grand Cherokee 2000. Also the "thing" that tells me when I need an oil change, which direction I'm going, etc. is no longer changing when I push...

The heated seat fuse is located in the junction block behind the left side of the dash. It is fuse number 20, a 10amp fuse. As for the driver information center not changing the display when you push the button, I believe this is a single unit and a relatively common issue ( I have a Grand Cherokee in my shop, for a different problem, and it is doing the same thing). My guess is that the entire info center needs to be replaced to fix the issue. Good luck!!
