My car alarm keeps going off for no reason. how can I stop this. the make of the alarm is piaa

There is a reason, and that reason is one or more sensors is defective. Have the dealer check this, they have special tools for diagnosing this..

It sounds to me all you need is to adjust the trunk hatch. Its going out when you hit the brakes so the switch isn't bad. It may be worn but if you can push on it and the light goes out it is the reason your alarm is going off. Make sure there isn't debris under the rubber seal preventing it from fully closing.

It can be any of the car doors not got properly locked or the door is locked but the switch is not sensing the door locked. Open and close each door again properly.

Or else its problem with any of switch wiring getting in contact with alarm wiring causing it to happen.

And last thing alarm connections need to be inspected. It's getting short somewhere in between.

Are we talking about an aftermarket alarm system? If so, remove the entire system from the vehicle. (they are usually more trouble than they are worth.)

may your alrm wwire having problem so just see your car any machenic may be he can attache the wire . and if battery of aalarm is down machenic will change it. then your alarm work smooth

cut it out with side cutters and throw it away .boy racer weekend mechanic alarm ,nothing but problems

it could be your sensitivity on the alarm. some have shock and or vibration/ motion sensors. this is a common problem. a shop that does car alarms can confirm that, and its usually an easy fix.

if your having emergecy need it stopped quick! cut the wires going to your siren..then tape them to prevent short circuit..or if you can locate the system fuse, pull it out, AND disconnect battery so not to have it go dead,,,,,,,,,good luck marty
