WOW? yes, the new ECU;PCM uses a real electronic 3 wire hall sensor for speed, (or uses ABS if opted) swaps are complex. we need what you had before the swap (drive line) and what was removed from the 2003... every part.
I have an 05 6 cylinder automatic TJ. The other morning I was getting trouble codes U0101 and P1603. For a few seconds the Jeep was shaking and for the entire 30min ride it wouldn't shift into the last gear, it would just continue to rev. The next day I drove it and it was fine. I also noticed a slight high pitch whine noise coming from the engine at low speeds. Any suggestions? Thanks!
Check with any local junkyard or dealer ... they know better than anyone what fits what.... Pretty likely it does. It would be wise to check bearings in one you want to buy (before you pay) also, check the top 1/4" of the cylinder bores. There should be very little or no ridge at the top (big ridge = a lot of cylinder wear) If you buy it, check the timing chain for excessive wear and also check "freeze plugs" and replace before installing it. (far easier out of car than in)
I don't think there is a diagram for this... Really... You can't put together a five or six piece puzzle??? Use the seat bolt holes& stuff as guides. The front piece can only fit there, and then you only have four or five pieces left!!!
