I hqve a nissan rogue 08 i want to reset the service engine light how do i?

This works for most vehicles but no guarantee. Disconnect both battery cables from the battery and touch the cables together making sure they are in good contact for at LEAST one full minute, you could just leave the cables off the battery for maybe an hour or so but this process speeds up the draining of any capacitors in your system that hold an electrical charge. After the one minute is up re-connect cables and the light should be out and stay out providing it does not detect faults somewhere which will make it come back on fairly quickly. NOTE: You will have to reset your vehicles clock.
