1994 gmc sierra. starts and runs for about 1 min then shut's off. Won't start up again until I let it rest about 10 mins. then it shuts of again. Intially it would sputter while driving. I changed the fuel filter and observe while it's running that the fuel injector is working, because I say it spraying into the carb. Also a few weeks ago a ran out of gas. I'm thinkin fuel pump. but I thought it wouldn't crank at all if it was the fuel pump. Please help

check the camshaft and crankshaft sensors. If they get faulty (typical in GM cars) the PCM would shut down the engine. Happened the same problem to me and solved it by changing the crankshaft sensor.
