I have Hyundai Accent GT 2005. I went to start the car this afternoon and when i turn the key it gives me a beeping signal. It is like a long beep, two short beeps, two short beeps, two short beeps, and i think a long beep again. All of the power works on the car. The engine will not turn over, no clicking from the starter. Any suggestions? i looked at the fuses, all look to be oka.

Too many possible causes for this. Take it into the dealership and have it properly diagnosed. Sounds to me to be a BCM problem (body control module).

Sounds like the solenoid. You know you have Roadside Assistance with your new Hyundai. Have it towed in and get it diagnosed & repaired under warranty.

Try Jump starting it first. Eliminate the factor of a low battery, or a bad battery. If after having the jumper cables connected for at least a minute while the other vehicle is running it continues to click then you could have a bad starter. Most front wheel drive cars the starter is near the bottom of the engine between the block and the radiator. If its not there then it will have to be jacked up high enough for you to get underneath it and look just behind the engine. The easiest way to locate a starter is to find the largest wire that comes off the Positive (Red) post of the battery and follow it to the engine. Also check for a bad wire connection, both the postitive and negative wires to the battery, and the negative that connects to the engine block, as well as the starter postive. Loose and dirty or corroded connects can give fits as well. If your not sure, remove the starter and take it to a name brand parts store that can test starters. If it shows bad have them double test it, you can even bring it to a second place for a recheck. There are places that can rebuild starters, but its not recommended for the inexpeireneced to try it alone, due to there usually not being a fuse to the starter, a broken wire in the starter can cause a short which can cause serious damage to the battery even causeing an explosion or blowing apart the connector or the battery cable.
