I just had the a/c worked on my 2000 jeep grand cherokee. I replaced both the evaporator and the other hose as well. The a/c was working great. That night I went to town and the fan stops blowing?

Take the blower motor out, power it and if it works then change the blower motor resistor. If the motor dosent work when powered then change the motor.

Heater core replacement, 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. Why do I have to evacuate the freon?

you need to evacuate the freon because in order to get the heater core out you also need to remove the evaporator for the AC. (great design huh?)

How do u by-pass the heater core in a 2000 Jeep grand cherokee?

Remove the two hoses that go into the firewall and simply put a piece of copper pipe between them. The hoses are different sizes so you need to use strap screw clamps to tighten it up.(I hate the spring steel ones they use anyhow...any time you work on the cooling system hoses, replace them. Easier to remove the screw type if stuck on the road without special tools, especially if when you put them on you position them so you can get to them)

None of my power windows work on my jeep grand

It happened to me yesterday, I was worried because all the fuses were right.

Just unplug the hose from the driver's door, it has many color cables inside, pull out the thick black one, it might be broken. I cut with a knife that hose so I was able to see inside and repair the borken cable.

I put another cable to fix it, it took me about five minutes, no more.

Repair costs: $ 3.00 of black silicon sealer for the hose.

How do replace a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee evaporator? Do I need to take the whole dash apart?

I have read it is quite a job. The heater core in my 97 Grand Cherokee (which is in the same location as the evaporator) is leaking. I think you have to remove the entire dash to get to it.
