replace the door!! No "just kidding" you realy need a manual, but, other wise, you must remove the door pannel each door is different, but the pannel must come off, then you can get to the track, you will have to see why the window is not functioning because several things can be wrong. you will have to find the bad parts and repair or replace them... go slow and take your time. dont be afraid of messing up. Ive gone to the junk yard before and looked for a car like mine that had the door apart all ready and looked it over and studied it before i took mine apart. some times you can practice on one at the junk yard !!! Not much help sorry! good luck!
you can take the door pannel off and put power to the window motor to get it to roll up. but it sounds like you have a bad master switch( this is the whole switch pannel with all the buttons on it located on the drivers door) go to www.car-part .com to find a local junk yard that will have this part
You are probably unaware that your jeep has an aftermarket keyless entry system....Try this....roll down the drivers window....push the power door lock......get out/close the door...and attempt to open the door as u normally would.......it should be locked...... use your key to unlock the door....get in.....insert the key into the ignition and turn it to on...((((DON"T TRY 2 START IT UN TILL THE WARNING BELL STOPS DINGING & ALL THE DASH WARNING LIGHTS ARE OUT)))...........usually 5 dinging sounds.......at any rate just wait untill the sounds stops and fire up your jeep.....i hope this works for ya.....good luck
check the fuse box and make sure the windows are not fused separately, before taking the door apart.
the door panel is held in with clips and there is a tool made for removing them.the window regulator/motor is a tricky one to do and unless you are really good,do not mess with it.
the motors have internal thermal cutouts.
unfortunatly there is no diagram or actual repair for a window regulator. the only fix is to replace the regualtor assembly. ive replaced hundreds of them at the jeep/chrysler/dodge dealer i work at
I had the same problem with my key pad, I took it all apart and rebent the prongs close to the round battery and it worked, also there is two more prongs under the battery that might need to be bent up abit aswell. Good luck use a new battery when doing this .
