My 2004 toyota camry has a loud noise coming from the engine area. Bearings are fine. Tires are new. Noise really starts areound 35 mph and is dependent on speed and not engine rpm's Shifts fine. slight vibration noted. Could a cable be binding or could it be in the drive train? Thanks in advance.

Have the drive shafts checked for failed cv joints , worn out disc pads and suspension rubber failures

SOURCE: 1998 camry front tire bounces at 60 mph

Had the same problem. It turned out to be a rim out of round. Had to replace rims. OR could be loose lug nuts or improper lug nuts for aftermarket rims.

SOURCE: Noise (vibration) when turning right

That sounds like a left front wheel bearing gone bad My friend.. turning right transfers weight to the left side and it probably has a roar similar to a turbo fan jet.. Try it and lemmie know.. thank you

SOURCE: 2008 toyota tacoma whistling noise

I don't know how loud the noise is, but its weird that you mention 50 mph. At that speed or above you are keep a constant rpm level. I say this because it might just be your air box loose and the sound of the intake air is making it. A 2008 truck should not have any major problem. Sometimes an alternator will sing or whine but never heard anyone say something is whistling. One other thing is sometimes for some reason ive heard a noise like that coming from the speakers of my car that goes up and down with the speed of the motor, but that was when I was tinkering with speakers and sub outs and amps. Thats all I can think of.

I HAVE A LOUD NOISE COMING FROM MY NISSAN MURANO UPON ACCELERATION...I FIRST THOUGHT IT WAS THE NEED OF NEW FRONT TIRES...I REPLACED THEM (WHICH WAS NECESSARY) AND I STILL HAVE THE NOISE...IT IS THE...

Most likely "scalloped" tread on the tires causing noise but could be a wheel bearing or bearings.
Slide your hand on the tire tread,it should not have any high or low spots.
Also while driving if you can change the noise by moving the steering wheel a little to the left and right (changing the load on the bearings) then it would be wheel bearings.

Toyota corlla 2000 model has been producing noise as if the wheel bearing is dameged. have changed wheel bearings and hubs .have shock mountings, drive shaft, innner and out vc joints, opened gear box,ba

Have you checked if that noise is given by the tires? Usually I am facing this noise through my customers who are asking me to change bearings but on test drive I confirm the tires. Even on new TOYOTAS I found this problem. It is the tires quality used.

Whirring, rotational type noise around 40 rpm

More than likely it is a wheel bearing, while driving and no other cars around, swerve the car back and forth and listen for the noise to increase. Usually which ever way you turned and the noise became louder, that is the side the bad bearing is on. Then you have to determind front or rear. While being a Technician, I have the benefit of raising the car on a lift and listening to the wheel bearings with a stethescope while the wheels are spinning to determind the bad bearing.

My thoughts exactly. Could also be an alignment issue (rear). It could be as simple as poorly balanced tires. Take it to a trusted mechanic. BTW: Just passed 125K on my EX.

There is a loud noise at 45mph.

Find a quiet empty stretch of road. Go 50 mph, put the trans in NEUTRAL and shut the engine. If noise is still there, swing car left and right to detect noise differences. Could be hub or axle bearings. Not engine or trans if noise is still there. Hope this helps

sounds to me like its a cv joint. if the rubber boot gets damaged in any way, dirt gets in there and really does some damage. check the boot really good. if you dont see any holes or anything it might just be the wheel bearing. id take it to a mechanic and ask him to just look at it. usually they wont charge ya.
