I have a 2005 Chevy Equinox. During the day after it's been sitting, when you first crank it the a/c blows hot. But once you get rolling at a good speed it cools down. BUT, when you stop at a red light, it starts blowing hot again. (First thing in the morning it starts out cool after sitting still all night)

It will not start of the crank sender is not functioning.

If the engine is cranking properly, then the problem either has to be in ignition or fuel delivery systems. And if you have an automatic, you might want to check the neutral safety switch for proper operation. And do not ignore the ignition switch.

Check the fuse, it's all electric now a days, then if it still won't work check the relay for the fan and if that don't work you prolly have a bad motor-AK

check your circuit breakes then your left door master control do you have a window lock safety switch

Just got an answer from Chevy Dealer. When you replaced the battery it loses its memory as to where the door actuators were (the flaps that control the heat and A/C).

The fix:
Turn everything off and let the car sit overnight. The computer should reset itself during its learnings process.
In the morning turn on the ignition and let the car run for a few minutes before turning on the climate control.

If this doesn't work, plan on 1-1.5hours of labor for a technician to reset the actuators at the dealership.

Hello: You may have a cooling fan(s) problem. Start the truck, turn the a/c on max, both fan and a/c control. Open hood the cooling fan(s) should be running. If not then you will need hands on trouble shooting. It could be fan(s) motor(s), relays, relay control, ie PCM, wiring, fuse etc. Systematic hands 0n trouble shooting will be needed with a upscale scan tool.

low freon you need to have it recharged and leak checked

i had the same problem. we had to have the ac replaced by the dealer now it blows some cold a$$ air

Sounds like the alternator should be inspected
