ok its just an electric dc motor. what can cause no up, failure. 1: not getting full 12vdc to motor,.(uses a $10 voltmeter to not guess) if why low, then the power feed is bad there. say below 10v. keep in mind motor overloads can cause V drop,.(V= I square x R, ohms law) 2: guides bad overloading the motor.s 3: if the hot wiring the motor does not move it up that means. what,? motor bad, or guide jammed. (reverse wires to go up, reverse to go down, 12vd on one wire, ground the other. 2 pins. so we remove motor and operate it by hand to see if guides are ok,. (not hands on motor but its guide drive end) 4: later years, they added a child proof clutch to prevent johnny from crushing suzy head for fun. really. and clutches do fail and slip, you'd hear it slip, I cant. or if the guide is jammed said clutch slips and thinks bad johnny deal. i think yours has no clutch. in 2000. my 04 did not. it's just motor , a switch and a guide. many this old are bad guides. jammed. up.

Danielle, On the driver side you may have stuff in the way, which may have to be removed, to change bulb. Sometimes it is easier to remove headlight then change bulb and reassemble. Take the starter back out but leave it connected. If it doesn't use a ground wire, make up a heavy wire and use that for ground. When you hit the key, watch to see if the starter gear moves forward to engage an doesn't just spin. (it engages the flywheel when in place.) The engine isn't supposed to fire if it's not turning.

first off: what country, and what engine? we are USA forum that car is sold all over planet earth. and many vary hugely by that factor. here it is a H27 engine, my guess, just sold my POS. the car also comes in 4wd and 2wd, the a/t transmission brain on all Vitara's here, was moved, to where, ? in 1997. moved to the confines of the ECU, and then renamed it to PCM. there is no TCM in the DASH starting in 1997 to now. unless its a diesel or so other strange enigne there in say Europe. see, welcome to the www, world wide web we've not a clue where you are...... (not me) why not just scan the PCM like we all do and see all those transmission errors, 1997 to now. on the 1996, you scan it and get P0700 then must use a special tool (or method) to scan the external TCm there, the full story, on usa spec cars. only this car.

It may have a unique OBD2 protocol, this means it takes a special scanner software package. You need to see the dealer or a shop that has the right scanner to read the fault code.

you meant axle lube, axles run GL5 hypoid gear lube, GL means Gear lube. Extreme pressure lube,EP. and is sold in all stores and in different weights, (VI)(by climate) some axles have LSDD, limited slip option and needs and additive for the clutch packs inside or will be damaged, if not. we cant guess what your car option were day one. but if you go to suzuki ,they have records on what you got day one. i guess you lost the operators guide,that in fact matched your exact car, and ITS options. why not just get car serviced and let the mechanic check all that out for you. for sure LSDD facts. The first thing that comes to mind for the radio is loose wiring. You didn't mention whether it was aftermarket or stock? You might want to check whether any trouble codes have been stored for the engine stalling issue.

the car has 26 relays!@ and 1 to or 3 fans are you saying the heater/ A.C blower is dead./ the HVAC? or engine fan (its mech for rad) or condenser fan, no symptoms posted, just relay hunts. my guess is you dont know how the blower in the heater works. so will cover that. The HVAC. First test is blower in high, failing is bad fuse.? if lower speeds fail, (a top clue) then the blower resistor is bad. but only on the manual hvac option! lets backup,I have full parts list on your car, here, USA. spec the car came new with 2 class type of HVAC manual AC with blower resistor or full auto system that as a new brain box, and a transistor box that controls blower, at all times, its just a transistor.
