There are multiple computers in the car that have to talk to one and other. There is the ECM or ECU and it talks to the BCM. Sounds like the BCM is having issues.

cars, check fuses first the scan the PCM see error there YOU WILL but you forgot to look first then ask the blind to guess. the brake pedal (not emergency) does that ,it is shifter lockout. on all modern cars. a lockout solenoid on some clicks the operators guild told you to step on brake and shift out of park autmatic trans not stick shift manual transmission. do not break the brakes;. speedo dead is 1 of 3 things (beside stated blown fuse) 1: IP cluster bad or wires on back fell off. 2: IP cluster CANBUS network dead. 3: speed sensor VSS1 dead. in all 3 cases the scan tool tells you all that in seconds flat.

There is more to then just replacing the lifters, pushrods need to be measured to see if they are bent, they need to be measured for length wear, the lash needs to be set, the springs should be tested. Best thing to do now is a cylinder leak down test to see if the valves are all seating correctly etc.

step1 check all fuses step2 scan the PCM no car can diagnosed lacking the scan tool. the TCM shifts,it why would you ignore the errors it stores. be pain that, or get the car fixed in a shop.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P0420 "Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold" is one possible outcome following the Catalytic Converter Monitor (test). This monitor is one of the last tests to be performed by the powertrain control module (PCM) because other failures in the system could compromise this test's result. Catalyst efficiency is tested by observing the oxygen sensor signals both before and after the catalyst. Before the catalyst, the signal should appear as a sine wave as it switches back and forth between rich (0.9 volts) and lean (0.1 volts). After the catalyst, the signal should be flat-lined on the rich side (about 0.7 volts). This is because a healthy catalyst will store oxygen and therefore remove the "lean" portion of the signal/waveform. If the signal after the catalyst still appears as a sine wave, the PCM concludes that the catalyst can no longer store oxygen and should therefore be replaced. In your specific scenario where a downstream (post-cat) O2 sensor was just replaced, I would theorize that this sensor had failed and was flat-lined. Then when it was replaced two things happened: 1.) the oxygen sensor began to work properly which allowed the oxygen sensor monitor (test) to complete, and 2.) the catalyst monitor then ran and used the new (accurate) sensor data to determine that the catalyst efficiency was below threshold. There could be a lot of reasons. One could be that the air vent actuator is moving. Set the air management controls on a different setting and see if that changes the clicking.

Drain the tank & add fresh fuel check wiring to starter motor & check starter motor not burned out

This is a bad sign, usually means that the first gear in the transmission is out.

This is a common problem on GM vehicles. This security light indicates a failure in the antitheft system that comes standard on your vehicle. A blower motor that only works on certain speed settings could be the result of a faulty fan speed switch or blower motor resistor. If only one single speed works (usually HIGH), chances are the problem is a faulty resistor. Blower motor resistors can vary greatly in price depending on if the A/C system is Automatic or Manual. For example, an automatic A/C resistor costs around $175 while a manual A/C resistor only costs about $25. These two parts are not interchangeable; the correct resistor must be used for the type of system that's being repaired. Thankfully changing a resistor isn't too big of a job. The process starts by removing the right "close out panel" which is the cover under the dash near the glove box. The cover is only held in by retainer clips so no tools are necessary; just pull and remove. Next, disconnect the blower motor resistor connector and inspect for a melted condition. If damage of this nature is seen, a blower motor resistor pigtail will need to be installed as well. Finally, remove two screws from the resistor and the part will come loose from the HVAC box.
