Raise vehicle. Remove tire and wheel assy. Rmove inner wheelhouse liner ,5 bolts. Remove the shock-to -knuckle bolt and discard.( Go get a new one). This is the bolt on the bottom of the shock. Remove upper carrier assembly to body bolts ( top two bolts). Loosen lower carrier assembly to body bolts until the carrier assembly slides out. Then, using either a rented spring compressor, or get a pro to remove it for you. If you a rental, please please please look on YouTube to see how to use one properly. Replace any worn out rubber components, they are sold separately. Installation is in reverse order. Torques: Top of shock absorber ,15 foot pounds Rear carrier bolts, 40 foot pounds. The dash lights are on a different fuse and circuit from the tail lights. If the lights in the instrument cluster work, the problem may be in the harness in the dash.

Most common cause is fuel sending unit located inside fuel tank.

Make sure all the connectors are connected to the transmission input and output shaft sensors. Also, check to see if the vehicle speed sensor is connected as well as the range switch. If all are connected, disconnect both battery cables from the battery and hold the positive cable and the negative cable to each other for about 30 seconds. Doing this drains the capacitor in the ECM and resets the system. Reconnect the cables to see if problem is still present.

may be a few things , did you have the head checked for cracks? and is not warped , and fitted a new gasket . if all is ok there check under the valve cover ,there are welch plugs there on the head , may be rusted out and leaking coolant into the sump.

Try replacing temperature sensor, more then likly is the problem, or wiring issues.
