2004 Toyota Camry - Page 2 Questions & Answers
Are there any front end alignment adjustments on a 2004 Camry other than toe-in?
yes
there all of the alignment capabilities available
At the top of the strut inside the engine compartment where the strut is mounted there are 3 bolts that are concentric so that by moving that mounting plate in a circle to new holes position the top of the strut is moved forward sideways and back covering all alignment positions of camber and castor
there is also alignment adjustments for the rear end and a professional alignment shop will always check and adjust that end first as it dictates the end result for a front end alignment
Is replacing an oil pan in a 2004 toyota camry an easy fix ?
It isn't too hard. You need to drain the oil first ( make sure to change the gasket around the plug every time you remove and replace the plug or it will leak), then drop the oil pan... put down lots of absorber pads as there will be droppings. Have a rag on hand for your hands. Scrape and clean the old seal where the oil pan meets the engine then put on a new one once it is thoroughly cleaned. Put on new pan, or repair old one.... again make sure to replace oil pan gasket and new oil drain gasket ( around plug..) since your going that far get a new oil filter also.... fill the new filter with oil before installing, fill up the engine with new oil..ps. It takes a few minutes to run down so wait between oil bottles and check the level ( don't run the car) fill the oil until the dip stick reads full ( remember wait a few minutes between each liter of oil to give it a chance to leak into the bottom of the engine). I believe it is around 4.5 quarts including the amount needed to fill the filter.
2004 Camry XLE fuel gauge problem
Check online in other forums of this particular issue. Others may have had the same issue and have found answers through other sites online. Sound like a bad sending unit "fuel gauge sensor". Unfortunatly, it may be a requirement to remove the fuel tank to gain access to this fuel sensor. If you dont have the means to repair this problem you can always keep track by the mileage that you put on your vehicles tripometer. I know thats a pain but it wont cost you any money until you choose to have the repair done.Estimate your mpg's and the size of your fuel tank by the gallons, and multiply the two. Be sure to keep track and have enough fuel not to run out! Its always better to keep half a tank than an eighth of a tank!
Toyota Camry 2.4 fuel problems why was it showing 1/4 tank gauage and it was empty and would not start 2004
You have a defective fuel level sending unit inside the fuel tank. To replace this you must remove the fuel tank from the car. The fuel level sensor is part of a fuel pump module assembly and cost is about $200.00 + about 3-4 hours of labor cost. If you want to try and do this job yourself check for youtube video's to show you exactly how Be careful! fuel can explode and serious burns may result. Follow all safety precautions, use safety stands to support the car and drain off any residual pressure in the fuel lines before you disconnect them. Wear safety goggles!
