The temperature control knob is
Very common problem that is a manufacturer defect that should've been recalled due to the sheer volume of people having problems with this. It's likely a ribbon style 3-conductor wire that has likely broken just behind the actual knob. Having this fixed is a very expensive job virtually anywhere you go. Some places were quoting 700.00 and I even heard some owner claiming they were qouted upwards of 1,300.00 However I found a really outstanding deal on ebay for a rebuild service. You remove the climate control unit, send it in to the business, they rebuild/fix what is wrong with it, test it and ship it back to you. I had mine back in exactly 7 days from the day I removed it and shipped it out and all for about 80 bucks. Very professional work and was very relieved.

Drivers electric window willl not
I have removed my door panel twice now and I will tell you that the design was very clearly designed so that you would almost have to bring it to an expert. I managed to get mine off but it was very tricky around the door handle because there is a screw that is virtually impossible to see. I apologize for not being able to tell you exactly where this is just from a crappy memory but once you remove the obvious screws around the armrest handle and the door release handle you will need a small puddy knife to slide under the plastic parts and pop them out. The power windows part is also tricky and only comes out one way. I believe the forward side pops up first and then slides forward. Again I'm sorry I can't be more specific but I wanted to let you know that it can be done but you must be very careful. The majority of the panel will just have plastic snap-in fasteners that you're guaranteed to probably have at least one break on you. Key to that is with a large flat head screw driver or mini prybar, start at the spot closest to the door locking mechanism and apply gradual pressure by prying the panel away from the door but be sure to pay attention to where the exact location is of the snap-in thing and have your screwdriver as close as you can get it to that spot. Having 2 prying tools will help to get closest to it. Good luck.
2003 Highlander with 41k miles. Alarm started
sounds like you have a faulty vehicle battery or that the contacts at the battery are corroded. The keys will not open the lock manually>?>>??. If the window is down or the door is open, pop the hood and check the battery for corrosion. If you have a friend with a pair of jumper cables, attach them to your battery following the correct procedure and see if door will unlock.
Back tail lights are out; not a fuse or bulb problem
you might want to look for the tail light's relay, that may be the problem. other than that i could be that a wire came loose, but not likely. the relay should be somewhere in your fuse box or in the fuse box inside the hood.
Remove front headlight assembly 2002 toyota highlander
I changed my 2001 Toyota Highlander headlights recently. First, remove the grille. There is one screw in the center which will require a loonng Phillips screwdriver to reach it, down behind the grille, right in the center. Then remove the four plastic clips at the top by prying them up with a small flathead screwdriver. The bottom just pulls forward.
Important: Now go to each side of the car, and in front of each fender well, there is one clip that holds the bumper cover on. Pull the top corner of the bumper cover toward you to release the clips, one on each side, at the top corner, along the front of each fender well where the bumper cover meets the fender. The bumper cover can now be loosened along the top without entirely removing it. It just pulls forward. Inspect the underside of the bumper cover for broken clips and replace as necessary.
Now remove the two bolts that hold down each headlight at the top.
Disconnect the wiring and bulbs and wiggle the old headlights out.
Install the new ones and reverse the process.
If your AC isn't blowing cold, check the condenser for leaks before you reinstall the grille. A new aftermarket condenser/filter dryer is easy to install by removing the battery and tilting the radiator back to get the condenser out. A replacement only costs $75 and can be swapped out in one half hour with a few metric sockets. Then you will need to recharge the AC system with R-134a, which is easy. Just buy a R-134a kit with hose at Autozone and follow the directions. $50
Replacement fog lights are only $52/pair for aftermarket. You may consider replacing those as well. They have a strange installation with clips and you will need to pry/bop them forward, not remove them from the back. They are aggravating to replace but not technically difficult.
THE LIGHT IN ASHTRAY FOR 2003 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER IS OUT..
if the lighter works its probably not a fuse. to find your fuse box look on the driver side kick panel by your left foot or in the dash. if the lighter is working youll have to replace the light do this by pulling the ash tray out of the cradle there should be a wire that plugs into the back of the tray twist it out usually counter clockwise and this will expose the light. pull the light out repace with a fresh bulb and your in business.
