Roof mounted spotlights

You can run the power wire into the cab to a universal
toggle switch. Then run a wire from the other side of the switch to the + side of your second battery.
Ground the light at the mounting point. Be sure to use a 20amp circuit breaker toggle switch, or splice in an inline fuse holder with a 20amp fuse, on the +
side. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Could you tell me how to get the correct oil level

After warming the trans up by driving the vehicle, park on level ground and with the car in park with the engine running pull the transmission dipstick out and wipe with a rag. Put the stick all the way back in and check the level by reading the amount of fluid on the stick and comparing the position of the fluid to the markings on the stick. If you need to add fluid use a funnel to add fluid through the dipstick tube. Add a quarter quart at a time allowing time for the fluid to drain all the way down the tube before checking the fluid level again and adding another quarter quart (it sometimes takes five minutes or so for the fluid to drain completely down the tube). If you are losing fluid on a regular basis you have a leak and need to have the trans checked. It should not normally use fluid.

Hi! i think i need to replace gearbox from 1999

The ref. number is usually stamped on each gearbox.
Sometimes the year/month of manufacture is all you need to compare.

I just replace my prado ignition distributor and it hardly start

Sometimes you cannot just take out the distributor and replacing them. It must be put back in the excat position that it was before.
Start the engine, loosen the distributor bolts, and while its running, turn the distributor sideways. Note the position that the engine runs quietly, then tighten the distributor bolt. If you have a timing-gun, connect it to the battery, and aim it to the crank-pulley. The degree that the #1 pistion fires is marked in degree on the crank-pulley (0, 5-degree). Repeat this as necessary. Or better get the car to a 'friendly' auto repair shop.

How much for a window switch for 1999 toyota land

I think you are suffering from the Cadillac syndrome; gee, if they can afford a (insert any high end name here) we can charge whatever we want for a repair.
If you have found the switch for $20, that probably isn't too bad although Toyota paid $1.50 each. Most of the vehicles I've seen with panel mounted switches will pry out without damage and the switches may also be only pressed into their seat. Also, I venture that the electrical connections are of the 'push-on, pull off' type.

Both electric rear windows do not operate

Hi,

Thanks for using FixYa!

If the rear power windows don't work. Its possible that you have a blown fuse for the rear side windows. Open up the fusebox usually located under the dashboard. Check the fusebox manual. Locate the fuse for the rear power windows. check if the fuse is blown. Replace the fuse. im 98% sure that its just a blown fuse.

Have a wonderful day.

2005 Landcruiser 100 Water getting in to rear cabin somehow?

Which carpet is wet? Front or rear? Have you had the windshield replaced? I had a similar problem after the windshield was replaced. They did not use enough sealant at the bottom of the glass and when it rained the water from the cowl area would come under the glass and get the carpet wet.

Can i swap the Brake master cylinder over without "reprogramming"

honestly sound more like the abs unit, it is the alloy box that the brake lines go into from your master cylinder, this will cause directional braking and awkward braking and DANGEROUS braking, it is more than likely the abs junction box and no the computer will not need program, just disconnect battery for 15 mins while doing the work. hope this has been helpfull

Auto transmission fault on toyota landcruiser amazon

Howdy, My name is Mark, I am a mechanic (Auto trans and Diff specialist 23 years) this symptom is common with a broken driveline component, with full time 4WD and centre diff all the drive goes to the wheel with least resistance, (or to broken component) therefore when you engage difflock (Center) the drive then goes 2 ways front and rear so vehicle will drive, could be as simple as stripped spline in front wheel hub, broken CV joint etc. 1 major weakness these vehicles have is if driven with center diff lock engaged on high traction surfaces they do break the front diff, this will give the same symptom but you would of been aware of it when it happened.
To check where the drive is going chock all 4 wheels, park brake on, bonnet up, start engine let it idle down (after cold start), engage reverse (high range open center) from the front of vehicle and off to one side you can see the front axles, if one of them is turning that is where your drive is going, have someone to help you and under no circumstances place your self under or in driving path of vehicle.
Hope this helps

I want to know how to turn off T-beltlight

I understand that this warning light comes on whenever the odometer reaches 100,000 and multiples thereof, as a reminder to change the timing belt. Once the t-belt has been changed, the light should be off. How? I don't know - the local Toyota service center made the change for me. good luck. Rolf H.

Need to install a stoplamp switch on a 1999 landcruiser

The switch is located up underneath the drivers side dash, high up on the brake peddle arm. It should be pretty self explanatory to remove when you locate it.
