1999 Toyota Avalon. It starts with a jump start but dies when I remove the cables. I replaced the alternator.

Question edited for clarity. Question moved to model category. Do you have a battery in it? If so, charge the battery with a 6 amp battery charger overnight. Charge it in the vehicle, DON'T remove it.

It sounds like you have a bad actuator. This is attached to the starter and has a solonoid that pushes the starter motor gears into the engine gear. If the solonoid is faulty this may happen. Also check alignment of the same.

1999 Toyota Avalon, key fob locks doors, but will

There are a few things you can do to get your key fob working like new again: 1) Wipe the board The board inside your remote can get a lot more filthy than you think! When the board is dirty it can prohibit the contact to the circuit board when you push down on the button. Simply wiping the circuit board off can make your key fob like new again! 2)Get it checked Go to your local hardware store like AutoZone or Oreilly's. They usually have a RF frequency tester. This little gadget will let you know if your key fob is sending a signal. If it is, you may need to reprogram your key fob to your vehicle 3)The old car battery reset trick I know this sounds absurd, but it works sometimes and is worth trying. If you exhausted all of the options above, disconnect both terminals on your car battery for 10 minutes. Then reconnect them and try your key fob. This has worked for many people and I have no idea why. If you do, please comment below to explain. 4)New fob! It might be time for a new key fob! No need to dread over the expensive costs of a new key fob, at Keyless Entry Remote Fob Inc., you can get a refurbished one for a very affordable price! You won't even be able to tell the difference. Just search your vehicle make, model, and year to purchase a key fob or give us a call at 402-671-5100.

Leaking from rear main and knocking in enegine what can i do?

That knocking may be permanent internal damage due to low oil or a bearing. If u still have the knocking w oil full, get ready for some serious engine work. Think about how much u want to invest. Fixing the seal is 1 issue but u may have 2 very expensive issues. Rebuilt motor would be my suggestion. Good luck

1998 Toyota Avalon XLS -- Will not start. No clicking.

It definitely sounds like a weak battery issue. Ck your connections at the battery for cleanliness & tightness. U need to have the batt checked along w the charging system & ckd for electrical shorts. If no problem is found that is the starting line. It may be a prob in the ignition system etc. if the problem isn't found by here. Good Luck

After change all 3 oxygen sensor /mas airflow sensor heat temp sensor still showing system too lean also abs light come on and track off and flashing what could be my problem

The traction and ABS lights are on due to a problem with the ABS system. You will need the codes scanned to determine what the failure could be. ( speed sensor/wiring/etc ) If you are referring to the temperature guage reading low, have your thermostat checked for being stuck open.

Abs /system too lean what is the problem

The ABS has nothing to do with the engine running lean. You may have two problems. A lean condition is the result of more air than fuel entering the engine.Check for any loose/disconnected vacuum hosing in/around the engine first. If nothing found, you will need a scan tool to check sensor operation and determine the source of what is causing the lean condition as well as finding the issue with your ABS problem
