I have a 1995 tacoma and the fuel guage and fuel

  • The fuel pump relay is a pain to find so when I tell you where it is keep looking in that area until you locate it because it is there.

  • Your fuel pump relay is located to the left of the steering column behind the top of the lower dash access panel. There is a metal tube of sorts wayyy back there and even if you take the lower panel off it is a pain to get to but it is back there.

  • You can also pull the fuel line off the backside of the fuel filter and see if gas is making it to fuel filter as well. Keep in mind that if the relay happens to be good that a bad fuel pump will also effect the fuel gauge.

Truck starts up fine but

Hello and welcome to FixYa!
Yes it can be a torque converter issue but the problem still persists after the replacement. I suspect that you have a worn out or disconnected vacuum hose somewhere. If there's a vacuum leak this issue can really occur.
I suggest that you check and replace worn out or soft vacuum hoses. I believe you'll be good after the replacement. If the problem still persists then the problem can be on the TCM (transmission control module). It's the brain of the transmission that when it's bad the engine may die when gears are engaged. If that's the case you will need a TCM replacement.
Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

I try to bleed rear brakes, but no fliud comes out

If your brakes will pump up and not go to the floor then it is probably pretty simple. First, is someone inside the vehicle and stepping on the brakes when you turn the bleed valve? If not that is the problem. If there is someone, then check the fluid in the master cylinder and make sure that both reservoirs are full of brake fluid. If that isn't it, visually check the lines for crimping all the way back to the MC.

If none of that is wrong, then the calipers are damaged internally and you will need to rebuild them. The folliwng is a good explanation of how your truck brakes work and has some good diagrams showing you the guts of the caliper. http://www.brakeandfrontend.com/Article/72111/Tech_Featu.aspx

Percentage wise what is the difference between

There's no set percentage to what the difference is between brake and wheel horsepower. It all depends on the specific car and components and engine. Some cars have a huge percentage of horsepower lost while some have minimal loss.
