1995 Tacoma heater works only in recirculation mode
Hi, 2 possibilities exist.1)The heater tap could be seized - to locate, follow the heater pipes that go tthrough the firewall back towards the motor, One of these will have a block on it with an arm and cable connected to it, check that the arm moves freely2) the thermostat could be stuck open - this involves a bit more work to fix
Diagram of vaccum hoses.
give this website a try to see if they have your car listed it
www.autozone.com if they do not stop at a local toyota dealer in the part department and i am sure they would print you out a diagram for your truck
How can i test a headlight relay?
I don't have a diagram of the circuit so I can't give you wire colors. The relay should have a diagram on the side of it showing the pins. One pin is power to the relay magnet, the other is ground for the magnet. The magnet closes a switch which is power for the headlights and the wire to the headlight fuses. You would jumper the power in and out for the headlights to bypass the relay - or use a test light to see if you are getting the right voltage on each pin. If you ground the relay with a test light the relay magnet should close the switch.
Low rpm on my 95toyota tacoma, untill about2800rpm
Engine stall or RPM fluctuates
at idle.
This problem
is commonly caused by a dirty automatic idle speed control valve and
throttle valve. Buy a can of throttle valve cleaner (do not use
carburetor spray cleaner!) from NAPA or Carquest (made by CRC
chemicals) and spray it into the air intake while the engine is
running, use up about 1/2 the can, engine will try to stall hold the
speed up, shut it down and let it soak for 30 minutes, restart and
blow out the remaining fluid, shut it down and disconnect the
negative battery cable for 5 Min's to reset the base idle control
This only happens when its warm outside-85 degrees angd higher.
I would think that either your ignition coil or your starter is causing this. Both of these as they start to go bad tend to fail when they are hot. You can take your starter and your to an auto parts store and have them test it for free. Either way, these are relatively easy fixes. Good luck and I hope this helps. Thanks for an honest rating and for using FixYa.
Won't restart when hot.
CHECK YOUIGNITION MODULE. TAKE IT OUT AND GO TO ADVANCE OR AUTO ZONE TAY WILL TEST IT FOR FREE AND YOU'LL PROB. FIND THAT ITS BAD. WORKS FINE COLD BUT WHEN THE HEAT GETS TO THE CARR WILL TURN OVER BUT NOT START BUT LET IT COOL AND START EVERY TIME
