Erratic idle upon startup 1993 Landcruiser
You need to run a vacumn check, and you should find the problem. O2 sensor could be an issue but more than likely it is a vacumn issue. I had and issue with a 93 LC that did the same thing. Another thing to check would be the ECU, do you have a check engine light that comes on and off regularly? Check out the codes if this is the case, it may tell you that there is an issue with the ECU. If you had an issue with the fuel filter on a ford that does not apply to the LC. The LC was design for very rugged and limited maintenance use. 100k on the worst gas imaginable and no maitenance. Highly unlikely it is the fuel filter. Try a fuel additive or injector cleaner first before replacing filter if you are curious.
75 series ute rear hub hot after a drive
More than likely its a binding brake. i.e. a sticking wheel cylinder not allowing the shoes to return or a sticking handbrake cable or lever inside the drum.
Last possibility is a worn wheel bearing but thats unlikely to produce a great deal of heat unless it was about to break up. This would be apparent by a fair amount of noise. I'd bet on the first suggestions though.

Land Cruiser front wheel
Hard to tell without looking, but, my best guess is, if both the pump and box are working properly, you may have seized ball joints, or seized "Rzeppa" joints. The Rzeppa joint is inside the big "ball & socket" thingy at each end of the front axle tube. On top of the ball/socket assembly, there is a plug. Open it & see if there is any lube in there. It just may be dry; this is maintenance item, and it is commonly ignored by Landcruiser owners.
Recently bought my self an
I had the same problem and only was getting 1050kms from both tanks. I had the injectors professioannly cleaned and exchanged ($1300) and now get over 1300kms.

H4 stands for "4 wheel drive; High Range".
Regarding changing to a diesel, you are in for a lot of problems, I am sorry to say. There is a multitude of things that have to be changed, IF the diesel could bolt to your transmission, which it will not. This would be a really,REALLY expensive undertaking.
Personally, I would not attempt it.
Sorry again.
