My 03 kia sedona fwd 3.5 automatic with OD just lost reverse it has 3hundred plus miles this is the first prn ive had with the tranny could it just be a sylinoid still has all forward gears

get the codes first ,as it can be your linkages under the car that is loose from your gear-stick to your gearbox.or it can just be a need for a fluid change .

Jack up vehicle and secure it on a jack stand. Remove the tire, brake caliper, pads and rotor. Remove the large spindle nut on the end of the axle and push the axle through the bearing. Heater squells off and on when all the way on and when excellarate

Check your coolant level before you start your car if full cold and when in idle you can go on to the next thing to check, possible plugged heater core. With van engine cold remove heater hoses from firewall carefully so you don't loose too much fluid out the hose. Now get a garden hose and run water back and forth through the heater core inlet and exit, watch for discoloration and possible debris, you want to see a good water flow here. Replace heater hoses, clamps, and any lost fluid. start and warm as you would normally. How many miles are on your Sedona? Next thing on your list could be your thermostat needs replaced. If this hasn't resolved your problem you will move on to the water pump. Also check your coolant tank! It may look good from the outside but pull the cap off and make sure the little return hose is attached to the cap, add a small hose clamp if necessary. The hose on my 02 Sedona got so hot it swelled up and fell off leaving no way for the engine to replenish the vital coolant when the engine cooled down. THIS $1.00 FIX CAN SAVE YOUR ENGINE!!! Good luck

Losing coolant from pipes above rear axle on kia

It sounds like a leak in the water jacket of your motor, it could be just a head gasket if you're lucky. Also check for a leak in the coolant pipes them selves usualy at the connections.

Hi !!PLEASE HELP..Just had kia sedona 2003 2.9d - fault codes from RAC IMV p1119-p1120 "intermitten" and in injectors 0201-4 "permanent" and ECU relay -1640 permanent low level "intermittent" can also

Yes i have worked on these vehicles but never come across this before ,check the glow plugs and the relay to check their all working which i suspect that either the relay/timer is faulty or all 4 glow plugs are gone ,failing which you may need to return the vehicle to the dealer to have the computer re-flashed but i suspect a faulty timer relay or on a 2003 vehicle all four glow plugs are burnt out ,not difficult to change though as their on the top of the engine
