1996 Lincoln Town Car - DIAGNOSTIC cod - P0171
Try to see if there is no air leak anywhere in the associated with the intake manifold. Any kind of leak, like a broken vacuum hose, or a loose connection in the air intake would cause the engine to run lean.

How do i remove rear seat in 1996 lincoln town car, so I can pop my trunk open
why don't you just use the key . If you do not have one then take it to the dealer get your vin number scan and get a key . I have owned 25 towncars and never been able to see someone get in that way. You can take one rear speaker out cut biiger hole and get in the trunk then what the reales stile only work with power

1996 lin.TC.Had the ac modulator replaced. Now no heat. Can hear in center under dash like a fan clicking /
Clunking. Can hear flap moving .Hoses are warm. On inspection I believe it's coming from a box above radio.
I had a mark 8, similar year, there are electric blend door actuators, they are made of plastic, and overtime crack and loosen up. There are several fixes, I used a ferrel from a 1/2 brass compression fitting, and epoxy over it, held for the next 3 years I owned it. Dash board removal sucks, no room but is doable. Recommend checking wiper motor/linkage while your there, good time to do while it's apart. Hope it helps.

Electric windows repair & parts
The windows are controlled by electric window regulators. They are cable regulators with electric motors. They average in price around $100, new.
If your window is up, don't put it down until you have the regulator replaced. Otherwise you may end up stuck with the window in the down position and no way to get it up.

The removal of the heater hose under the intake
Do a little research on the hose first. Some are preformed and they resist kinking better than a straight universal hose that may be harder to bend into place.
If you do this repair with the engine cold it will save you some antifreeze. There will still be leakage but less than on a warm engine. After you have the new part, cut off the old hose and it will be easier to remove the hose clamps.
Hopefully the original spring clamp will be on the hose ends. Do not use the screw type clamp as they always have uneven pressure. Slip off the hose clamp by squeezing the tabs and once removed slit the old hose to keep from being rough on the metal parts that you must remove the hose from.
Sometimes a little water to lube the new hose will help the new hose slip over the metal fixtures.
Hope this helps.

Climate control is not working before i buy
Yes. Instead of buying a junk yard unit, buy a REBUILT unit from a rebuilder. They'll program it with the latest software and give you a warranty. These guys are good
