1999 Saturn Lw 4dr Wagon Questions & Answers
I used a gauge to check the freon pressure. The guage was all the way on green but when putting the gauge on or taking it off the line, there was no sound of any air escaping.
Sorry you need to check the Ac on any vehicle by emptying the system with the correct machine then check the weight of gas and refill to the correct amount ,then and only then can you check the pressure on the high pressure side of the system ,the system will not work if the right amount of gas is in the system also the gas is also a lubricant as well as the oil in the system ,all Ac units should only be checked and gassed up by a specialist who hold the relevant certificates which you need to buy the gas by the way here in europe ,no top up cans sold in europe completely banned ,plus a tax on the gas as well which is going up again next year ,at present a bottle of 15kgs of gas cost 280 euros but no substitute available as yet and next year it goes up another 100 or so euros
Locked ignition. Can't get
you will most likely have to replace key cylinder. remove cowl around steering column, upper & lower, remove plastic cyl around key, you will need a paper clip to remove key cyl. small hole near back of key cyl, install paper clip end pushing down turn key cyl, to run position, jiggle key cyl to remove. auto parts store should have replacement. good luck
My chico keeps on blowing oil filter gasket
We had this problem back in the '80s with Honda Civic engines. Simply put; the original gasket was still stuck on the base. Because of the position of the filter, you could not tell until you stuck a pick into the base. If the seal is still there, you can feel it, dig it out and solve the problem. Hope this works for you as well. G' Day.

How to take apart and replace a Saturn SL Wagon,
what you need to do is find a serviceable used mirror on eBay or at a junkyard, lots of them around. you are not going to take it apart and fix it. most any saturn mirror, 95-99 is going to fit. take off the cosmetic part inside with a screwdriver, remove the three nuts holding the mirror on. new one goes back the same way.
1999 4 dr sw dohc
The LW started in 00, if it is a 99 then it is an SW. I would start by replacing the crank sensor which is installed into the rear of the block, behind the starter on the SW. Most likely easier to replace on the LW as they moved the starter to the front of the engine in the 2.2 LW engine. Cheap part.
Is this service free
For free i will tell you that the Saturn LW was not made in 1999, that 99 is an SW or it is not a 99.
Started but died and know
sounds like bad fuel pump or clogged fuel filter. when the key is turned to the on position not trying to start the car but just to on position can you hear a slight hum from the fuel pump?
Turn signals not working. fuse is o.k.
It may be your signal switch. The only way to tell is by checking the wires. You may have a bad wire or a loose connection. Check close to the bulb sockets especially. If the bulbs are good and the fuse and switch are, check your wires. If you have any questions Mark, let me know. I am here to help.
How do I set the clock on my 1999 Saturn SW2
Open the glove box and get out the owner's manual. Look in the index under clock or radio, turn to the appropriate page and find the radio model in the manual which matches your car. Follow the instructions.
No manual is your next cry. You can get one on ebay or call around to junkyards.
1999 saturn wagon, sputters and jerks when
Check you spark plug wires, spark plug, and distributor cap and rotor. Make sure the spark plugs are gapped correctly and they do not look worn or fouled. Find a relatively dark place, start the engine, raise the hood, and look for blue arcs (sparks). A little windex sprayed on the wires will enhance this effect. If you see these sparks, replace the wires, and your problem should go away.
