there is an ipd/m fuse box behind the battery of my 2004 infiniti g35 sedan. I blew a fuse and couldn't find it. So remove the plastic panel that is right next to the windshield washers when the hood is open. You'll see an entirely new fuse box. So all in all, there are three fuse boxes... one by your feet on the driver's side, one in front of the battery, and one behind the battery. hope it helps

03 and 04 G35 vehicles had a Technical Service Bulletin issued regarding the audio circuit board. No sound was one of the symptoms of a faulty circuit board. There was a design flaw with the boards on the early model G35's that was corrected in 05.The audio units on those cars consisted of three pieces, the radio itself, which is just a silver box, a circuit board that attaches to the front of the radio and then the outer display. I would suggest contacting a dealership service dept. with your VIN number in hand, and ask if the circuit board has been replaced. Even if it has, It will still more than likely be the problem. It's either that or the radio

trunk will not open with button

g35 infiniti trunk will not open

There should be a yellow lever inside the trunk near the back seat that you can pull. You will need to lower the back of the back seat, and stick your head in there and look up. Pull the yellow emergency lever and the trunk should open. It is mandatory to have one in case a child accidently locks themselves in the trunk. Once you get the trunk open, make sure the valet switch near the trunk latch didn't inadvertently get depressed. It should be either on the decklid on the latch or in the trunk itself below or next to the latch reciever. it should be a slide type switch that you can lift up or press down. Also make sure the trunk lock out button inside the glove box didn't accidently get pressed. Hope this helps

Driver's seat unable to move forward or backward

One side of driver's car seat moves, however, right side seems stuck. The Infiniti G35 car seat motor seems to work on left side but right side is stuck, can't go back or forward.

There are plastic gears connecting the track to the seat assembly. Whne one of these strip the seat will only work or move to one side. Infiniti does not sell a simple fix. You are looking at buying an entire seat assembly complete with the module for all the electronics. It will be at a cost of around $950 - $1000. Once that is in, Infiniti must program the seat to the brain of the car, only then can you reset your memory settings.

Infiniti G35 trunk won't open

The trunk actuator does not engage either with the keyfob or the interior switch. The fuselink box fuses look fine and the interior fuses at the kick panel look fine. The thing is...I'm not sure what fuse is the right one as there is no description specific for the trunk release fuse. Is it on combined circuits? Thanks.

I had this problem as well.
The wiring harness in the trunk is a bit short and some of the wires fray. when this happens, the car doesn't recognise that the fob is close by so it fails to open.
Just pull back the boot near the trunk hinge on the passanger side and look for frayed wires.

Do I need Group size 24F or 35?

Went to Napa Auto parts and asked for a new battery. He said he had it, but then asked if I wanted the Group size 24F or 35. I guessed and got the 24F. It looks a little bigger than the WalMart battery that's in there now, but the plate it sits on looks like it's made for the bigger size. I can't return the battery if I install it and I'm wrong. Any help?

Cars usually call out for a specific size that fits in the tray. However sometimes people buy a "cheaper" battery (sometimes it is smaller) The bigger the battery the stronger it is (more cranking amps) It should last longer especially in extreme weather, freezing to 110 summers! As long as it fits and the cables reach, you should be fine.

Power windows and power door locks not working

My power locks and power windows won't work on my 2004 G35 coupe. There is no response at all when I push the button(s) to operate the windows or power locks. It's like there's no power to them like a fuse is blown, but I've researched and look at the fuse panels and it appears there is no fuse for the power windows and power door locks. Does anyone have a suggestion?

first you will need a multi meter it checks for volts, ohms which is resistance, and amps which is current, some have a beeper that goes off when you get a good curcuit now first check the switch on the door the one used the most which is the driver side door switch first remove all screws hopefully they are all phillips if not get the correct screw tip for the correct screw head and remove all the screws under and around the switch lightly tug on the switch it should move as if it wants to come out if it is still tight look for hidden screws never force anything sometimes a small flat-head screwdriver to push back plastic locking mechanisms is needed once you get the switch out it will have several wires running off of it turn the switch over with a black sharpy make a dot (where it can't be seen when the switch is installed) at one end of the switch Now draw a diagram of the wires coming out of the switch using the black dot as a reference point if you have several wires of the same color draw on the metal connector with your sharpy one line for your first black wire two lines for your second black wire etc. now that you have all of your wires removed each switch has open and closed curcuits set the multi meter on ohms touch the leads together and the display will change radialy this is a good curcuit or if you have the beeper use it by touching the leads together the meter beeps this is very handy put your red and black leads on one switch and flip the switch if it beeps the switch works check all of the switches on the multi switch panel you removed from your driver side door if any of them do not beep get a new switch from the infiniti dealer or at a on line parts store this is cheaper If they all work buy the infiniti manual at any auto parts store Next check the motor of your windows the wiring diagram in the back of the manual will have the correct voltages get a trim remover and remove the interior driver side door panel and the insulation carefully try not to rip it to much Infiniti's use the same unfortunatlly cheap made in china electronic parts as a less expensive brand cars same with the window motors, if one switch works put the motor wires on this working switch and see if the motor works if it does great, replace all the motors that are burned out and any of the switches that are also burned out also work slowly sometimes removing interior trim the plastic plugs brake pick up a few at your auto parts store and replace the broken ones .good luck
