Some cars have 2 water temperature sensors with one operating the cooling fan and the other operating dash indicators. Since your A/C stopped working it sounds like the power may be off in a relay. Want to say go to reputable mechanic so you do not fry your engine. You also do not want to be taken for an A/C recharge you may not need. Cooling fan should work whether A/C is off or on. Some fans have 2 speeds so it is possible to need a replacement if only 1 speed works. You need someone to know the power routing. For instance, is the relay getting a signal from the temperature sensor? If the power is going to the relay, does it go to the fan? Is the fan bad on 1 speed or both speeds? This is independent of whether the A/C has a full charge. Be careful of the spinning cooling fan blades if the fan turns on without warning.

Friend, do a compression check on all cylinders. The one, most likely #3, will show low compression because of a bad valve. This causes the engine to idle rough and once it goes into overdrive the whole vehicle shakes I'm sure. And since you've swapped the injectors around, and it still chows a 303 code, it wasn't #3 injector causing the misfire code. Keep all this in mind friend, this problem is indigenous to all these V6's.

When that happened to a vehicle I had it jumped time. Meaning the engine was damaged

When were the Coils over plugs(COPs) and spark plugs replaced last? Is this a V6 or V8? Clean the MAF sensor for sure. don-ohio

Not the egr valve , plugged catalytic converter . Take it to a qualified repair shop an have it back pressure tested .

It's not a typical box shaped tank. It looks more like a butterfly. Look for a skid plate over the tank which has two metal straps holding it up.

What did you do before?

I hope it's not the timing chain tensioner,Chris. I know the 2000 V8 engines had bad tensioners. Could it be a loose starter or the starter drive is hanging up in the flywheel teeth? Could it be a really bad DRIVE BELT TENSIONER or the idler pulley gone bad? It's just difficult to say,but I hope it's not the TIMING CHAIN TENSIONERS. Lot of miles on it? don-ohio (:^)

If the is misfiring then the check engine light will blink and a code will be set for the fault, so if you have no light you do not have a misfire it has to be something else going on, have you had the fault codes read yet? Do that, any Autozone will read them for free, just ask for a OBD2 fault code test.

Have a REPUTABLE shop put it on the rack and find the leak. don-ohio (:^)

A new fan is needed. It's been turning for 16 years. Time to replace it. Same for the power steering. Depending on where the leak is, if from a hose, a clamp may need tightening. If from the pump, then it's time to replace.
