How do I turn hazard lights off on 2003 Kia sorento
Hi,
Well firstly I would try the switch on the dashboard, it will have a triangle on it and is probably flashing, of course if this doesn't turn them off then you will have to remove the switch and disconnect the wiring plug from it, then replace the switch.
Obd code 0700 comes up
Take vehicle in for a trans service and have fluid and filter replaced. Make sure all connections to transmission are tight.
2003 sorento 3.5 cranks won't start code 300 302 304 306
The code 300 is a Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire....a 302 is Cylinder # 2 misfire detected. ..and the same for 304 and 306..being 304 is cylinder 4 misfire and 306 is cylinder 6 misfire...All these at the same time normally is a faulty coil pack..,and or faulty coils...spark plugs.,plug wires.....It should be running horribly or barely ....However it could be internal losing compression.....It could just need a good tune up.....Disconnect battery before changing coils,wires..,or plugs in order to clear the fault codes.....
2003 kia sorento died. Codes are Po700,Po335, and Po727
be careful on this one. 700 means a transaxle, not sure if its stopped signal or something else. 335 is the crank sensor, i wonder if you have a timing belt that has come or or somethin like that. dont crank the engine until you can get someone to check some things.
What can keep causing my battery to be dead
The charging system is not working. Common suspects include:
Loose wires or connections
Blown fusible links
Bad alternator
Also, if the charging system is working, and the battery lives as long as you drive it regularly, you may have a phantom power draw that is draining your battery while it is parked. You may have some accessory plugged in, such as a gps or a cell phone charger or alarm that is causing the current draw. If not, some part of your car may be drawing current when it shouldn't.
A proper electrical diagnosis is needed to reveal the source of your symptom. In the meantime, you can rig a cheap trickle charger to the car while it is not being driven while you find someone who can diagnose electrical systems. This may or may not end up being a costly repair, depending on what the tech finds during the diagnosis.
I have a kia sorento 2003 diesel auto
I have just fitted new glow plugs and there is power getting to them but the car will not start when cold
Sounds like loss of compression but i could be wrong in cases like this i fit a manual overide push in type switch ,with no relays a nice heavy wire from battery to switch then other side to the heaters .Use a decent switch designed for this not a bell push switch .if problem persists then remove the head and grind the valves in with new seals ,and remove the pistons and check for ring gap where you push a ring into the bore and measure the gap --4th per inch diameter ,ie 3 inch bore then its 12th also the side movement of the ring in the ring groove on the piston ,failing which buy a new car it could be cheaper especially if you local goverment is giving scrappage against a new car ,and get a petrol as new EEC regulations will soon outlaw diesels from urban centres ---at long last
I cant find my glow plug relay on my kia sorento 2003 WA03SKX
Its in the bonnet, on the right hand side (facing the front of the car) towards the windscreen under a black cover with 2 clips. It's removable and easily replaced. I find it unlikely that it needs replacing however. A more likely reason is the fuse for the glow plugs which is in the driver side footwell. (On a right hand drive car). The car book which came with the car details where all these items are.
How do you know when you need a new starter
The best and cheapest way to find out if it's the starter, battery, or alternator. Take it to autozone or kragen, wal-mart auto center pep boys. I know autozone, kragen, wal-mart will test your starter, alt., and battery for free, they will bring a machine out to the car and run the test. You can watch. Good Luck
