Difficulty starting after stopping for a short while
Without more input I'll give you two scenarios 1 the starter is showing signs of weakness and hen it gets hot it does not have the strength to spin the motor as it should. 2. The ignition timing needs adjusted, it may be advanced a bit and need retarding, especially with the low grades of fuel we are getting these days , you might try a higher grade of fuel or possibly an octane booster which you add when re-fueling.
Hope this is useful. Let me know please. gl...dc
How to top up brake fluid
You simply add the brake fluid to its proper recommended position. This position is usually marked on the reservior.

hold fan belt with both hands as if stretching a rubber band.place one end of belt over a fan blade all the way down to the hub.loop the other end over as many blades as length allows.''leap frog'' over remaining blades as necessary.if that doesn't do,there should be 4 bolts holding fan hub to it's mount on water pump spindle
Common problems
Subframes are known to have a weak area around the rear part of the wishbones' fixings. They split in high milage cars and this can cause the car to feel 'wishy-washy'. It can aslo be seen in the condition of the tyres (uneven ware) and the wheel leans at the top. This is a relatively easy fix, but when I did mine I used an aditional 3mm steel plate to bridge the top of the weak areas. Well worth doing.
The window motors become very slow and tired on older models, they just need to have the brushes changed.
The steering can feel very vague (more than usual for these cars) This is usualy fixed by getting under the car and adjusting the steering box.
BUT MOST CRITICALLY, THE BRAKES! Not cheap!, the brakes and suspension ar part of the same system. They should feel light on the foot but sharp on the bite. If not, the hydrauliv accumulators need re-gassing or replacing, the flexi pipes are prone to collapse, AND THE CORRECT FUIDS MUST BE USED (Castrol RR363), if in boubt, have it checked!
Panhard bushes on the front subframe can corrode and 'fall out' leaving nothing. And the rear subframe bushes are also known to squash and lose their shape.
I am looking for wiring
hi, first thing we need to do is DISCONNECT the BATTERY (NEGATIVE (- sign)) HEAVY LEAD.
the SOLINOID has a HEAVY POSITIVE (+) LEAD this is a BOLT on connection and also (normamlly smaller cable (this cable feeds the car POSITIVE (+)) BOTH BOLT on THE SAME terminal ( ring terminals).
the STARTER MOTOR CONNECTS to the other BOLT ON CONNECTION (SINGLE ring terminal) of the SOLINOID.
the other small wire (s) is the (ignition key position starter motor circuit, the colour RED/WHITE or BLUE/WHITE. this is normally a PUSH-ON connector. if you have a BLACK or BROWN WIRE then this is EARTH (GROUND (-))
testing if this do'nt work. check if BOLT-ON CONNECTIONS are TIGHT by HAND.
the solinoid is a remote HEAVY CONTACT SWITCH and has 2 circuits SWITCHES HEAVY CURRENT up to 700 AMPS. and the CONTOL of the KEY to operate from a small wire. gerry
Sudder thru the staringwheel at 30-50ml hr
Can be caused by wear in ball joints, poor wheel balance, damaged or buckled wheel rim, leaking steering damper if fitted. But the chances are if you can drive through the shudder and then experience it again at a higher speed, it would usually be down to poor wheel balance or distorted tyre.
