Are you sure that the key switch isn't sticking? spray some WD-40 in the key hole and if that doesn't work try removing the electrical part of the key switch and hold the harness and using a screwdriver try starting the car if it still do that I think the starter solenoid is sticking replace it or the complete starter I hope this helps you

It has electric power steering and there is a fault with it. The ECM recognises this and won't left you drive it. There was a recall on it. sounds like a voltage surge from trying to jump start in the wrong place has fused a few components. you need a mechanic or auto electrician to take a look.

call the reimbursement department so they can start a recall... 1800-204-0261 we have the same promblem and they wont do a recall unless they get more complaints!!

my first thought would be the squealing serpentine belt or could be brake pads. Combining squeal and stall from stopped position maybe you have a bearing going out on something the serpentine belt runs on. example if belt tensioner or A/C clutch bearing going bad could cause drag on serpentine belt. first thing to do is check for codes. this will give you a direction to begin diagnostics . most probable causes are, cranks sensor, ignition module or fuel pump. if you have a tach on the dash and you see rpm during cranking i would eliminate the possibility of a failed crank sensor, if no rpm signal go right to the crank sensor. next check for fuel pressure, 40psi is going to be within specs to allow it to run.

Doesn't sound like you would know how to do a fuel pump pressure an flow testing , suggest you take your vehicle to a qualified repair shop that has the proper diagnostic testing equipment . Rather then guessing an replacing parts you don't need . (fuel injector's ) Could be low fuel pressure , a bad MAP or MAF sensor. What are the fuel trims showing ? short term an long term fuel trims . First try to spay a liberal amount of PB Blaster into the switch around the key to free up jammed tumblers in order to release the ignition switch and allow the key to be removed. ANY ATTEMPT TO JURY RIG THE WIRING WILL RESULT IN TRIGGERING THE ANTI-THEFT FUNCTION OF THE ECU AND DISABLE THE VEHICLE. Simply disconnect the ground cable from the battery to shut off all power to the vehicle.
