when car starts get flashing o.d get code p0705 & p1702
I have a 2003 Lincoln Town Car Executive L Series Limo having the same problems. OD Flashing Light.
Is this an electrical problem or a mechanical problem?
Does the transmission have to be pulled to repair this problem?
03 Town Car transmission whines & taps on very hot days only, changed fluid filter, trans cooler & radiator. Runs great on cool on days under 90 degress.

The door ajar warning light on panel stays on when all doors are closed. Not only does the warning stay on and the light the alarm beeper goes off every minute. It's driving me crazy! I tried the WD 40 and the BP Blaster and nothing. Is changing the door ajar switch the only way to repair? I took it to the Lincoln dealer and the part is $8.00 but the repair is $228.00/hour minimum for repair. What a rip off. Any other suggestion?
yes i agree with ripoff, If you are unable to do it yourself , then I suggest you go to a regular shop, and they should replace it with minimal cost, buy the part for eight dollars and bring it with you to the shop so that all you have to pay is labor, if it is really easy like i suspect you may not be charged at all, or even ask one of the guys if you give them a couple of bucks will they switch it real quick.
hey, I would do it..

2003 towncar: barely hear radio reception. As if antenna wire is off, but can't find antenna. Is there an antenna fuse. Also the trunk auto release does not work with key fob or release button. I was told there was a $300+ relay that might be the problem. Any help is appreciated. MGreene

LINCOLN CODE READ ON SNAP-ON SCANNER. U1262 SCP DATA FAULT FOR J1850 BUS
bottom line is the U1262 is a communication failure between your scanner and a module
assuming you actually pulled the code from the PCM then you have lost communication with a different module like the ABS, DDM, LCM, RASM, HEC, PAM and any other module I can't think of right now
You need a detailed pinpoint test from a Ford service manual or aftermarket source like Alldata, Shop key or Mitchell on Demand
You could be dealing with over a 100 different test PER module
Obviously something we can't do on-line too easily
If you could at least identify which module you have lost communications with your dealer may, for a fee, copy the correct pinpoint test

FUSE BOX DIAGRAM FOR 2003 LINCOLN TOWNCAR
We would like to point out that your car already has a well-placed fuse box diagram located on the inside of the fuse box cover. However, if that's not the case visit this link to know where each fuse lays and what it does: https://knigaproavto.ru/shemy/en/lincoln/town-car/607-2003-2011-lincoln-town-car-fuse-box-diagram.html

I have a 2003 Lincoln Town Car Signature series with MEMORY seats. The motors are working as I can hear them but the seat is not moving. I was told by a Lincoln dealer the entire seat needs to be replaced at a cost of $1700.00 Anyone have an suggestions. Thanks, [email protected]
There is a gear inside the black plastic enclosure under the drivers seat that its teeth are stripped or worn off. Remove black plastic enclosure from frame. Drill out rivets to open up the black housing. Locate passenger seat assembly from junk yard that works. Disassemble unit, remove same gear and install it in drivers seat assembly. You will have to use either a small gear puller or shop press to remove bad gear and definitely a shop press to install good gear. Reassembly in reverse.
