If you are talking about the center armrest between the two front seats, the repair is easy. The plastic latch can be ordered for about $10 and replaced by taking apart the top lid assembly. I did it and it is not hard at all. Now if you are talking about the armrest compartment, that is one the I have not had any luck figuring out and have not found a solution to from anyone else. howdie does it have trunk shocks they need replacing are steel rods in the right place?that hold it up

Have you checked the battery for 12 volts ?Cables clean and tight ?There is a neutral safety switch between the key switch and the starter. You might try cranking it in neutral instead of park.Otherwise you will need to check for voltage at the starter and work back to the battery.

No solution, but have same problems. Takes 15 to 20 minutes to even start producing cool air. Ford place said Evaporator. Could this be true. Works pretty good when the compressor finally engages, also works better if I am sitting still. Seems like more stress on motor causes it to get warmer and very humid.
