You can test it with an oil pressure gauge. The oil pressure switch or sending unit will be removed and the gauge will then be installed in its place. then start the vehicle ans see what the pressure reads on the gauge. In any car, if you set park and don't set the parking brake first, the car can roll just a bit, and kind of jam the park gear. If you set the brake first, that doesn't happen.
Use a voltmeter . The sensor has 3 terminals, looking at the terminal end 1 on left should have 5 volts , terminal 2 is earth, terminal 3 is signal to ECU, connect the volt meter , rev engine several times , voltage should increase and return to base voltage every time if Ok. If not Check the unit has a good earth if that is ok replace the sensor.
Not good at all. This usually means excess fuel is washing down the cylinder walls and entering the bottom end. Can be caused by leaky fuel injector(s) or bad carb. DO NOT RUN engine as bearings will likely be ruined.
