Put a brand new battery
Found this wiring diagram for your generator. I didn't see fusible link? The bat terminal at your generator, should be hot all the time, even with key off. It's a straight shot to positive side of battery. In the diagram, it goes through the 60 amp fuse. If that is the problem, you could leave a pig-tail at the generator and battery, run a new wire, proper size with an inline fuse, bypass the fuse box. As long as that is a dedicated fuse, I don't see why it wouldn't work? Of course, I can't see anything from here. Just my opinion.

Check the coolant level in the radiator at the cap as it may be the low coolant warning system that is activated as the water runs away from it as you change direction. If it is serious enough the engine light will come on and the CPU will send the engine into limp home mode.
Honda A1 and S1 transmission same
its different model cars it came off. same tranny. and yes you are wrong im currently using an a1 tranny and if its automatic im doin it wrong :)
Engine problem
You might want to check for any possible vacuum leaks from the back of the intake manifold. A severe enough vacuum leak will cause the engine to spit and sputter. You may also want to check the egr valve stuck in the open position as well. Also caused by possible vacuum issues. Vacuum within the intake will increase with accelaration and if you have a cracked line it could cause the symptoms you are describing.
