Sorry its impossible to answer this question without first connecting my AC re-gassing machine up to the vehicle first to vacate the gas and measure the weight of gas removed to determine if sufficient gas is in the system to start with then work from their as it could be a fuse or it could be a pressure sensor to a faulty clutch on the compressor but its a process of elimination starting at the begining .

if the sticker is gone from under the hood that shows the routing, and you don't have a manual for your vehicle, If you walk into the parts dept at the dealer, and ask them for the routing, they will give you a copy printed right out of their computer , and normally they don't charge for this , This is just in case no one else here has the routing for you

Go to autozone or Oreilleys,or advance,they will check your alternator and check your electrical system for free,takes just a few minutes,they also will scan your vehicle.

how long for? most fans have an over run even when engine is turned off

Items to check out Cooling fans , Cooling fan relays
coolant temperature sensor,Water pump, coolant mixture.

This is telling that it needs to be charged with Freon, so compressor automatically turns off, as to save unit as, if no Freon, no sense having compressor run. You need to have it charged with Freon, and have system checked to make sure no leaks at same time.Almost any service center can charge system and check to make sure no leaks, then compressor should come on and work fine. If the orifice tube is restricted,this could cause the problem ,but make sure it is not low on freon,the orifice tube is only a couple of dollars,but you will have to remove the freon to replace the orifice tube,most always the orifice tube needs replacing,almost all the time they are checked the orifice tubes are clogging up.If this was helpful,please rate,the ac system you have,has two sensors,and it is real sensitive.

jayvan jacks, If I'm correct, your car has two separate comfort controls for the passenger and the driver. This would mean that the heater box has two separate blend doors and blend door motors that open and close the doors to provide either heating or cooling. It sound like one of these motors or the doors themselves has malfunctioned. It is going to take some testing to see exactly what the problem is because if it is a motor problem then is it the motor, the wiring or the controls that are malfunctioning. You can listen for the doors opening and closing yourself. Turn the key to the run position, do not start the car. Turn off all other accessories so you can hear them. Turn the controls to the heat side and listen for a little motor hum under the dashboard, and you will also hear the door when it comes to rest. Then switch to the cooling side and listen again. Do this with the passenger and drivers comfort controls. If you don't hear anything, then suspect one of the motors or their controls. If your lucky, the motor that malfunctions is the one in front. If not, then the heater box will have to be removed to access the rear motor. Good luck with this.

Some models need to put key in door and turn to the right, this resets the system. According with the Owners Manual (1993 - current models. Must have a Yahoo ID to log in)...

If the engine does not staartn d the "STARTING DISABLED DUE TO THEFT SYSTEM, REMOVE IGNITION KEY" message is displayed in the Driver Information Center, your key should be checked for damage. Starting may be attempted with an undamaged key immediately. Seey our Cadillac dealer or a locksmith fur key service.

If the "STARTING DISABLED DUE TO THEFT SYSTEM, REMOVE IGNITION KEY" and "WAIT 3 MINUTES" messages are displayed, the key should be cleaned. Afterth ree minutes, try again. A "START CAR" message will appear at this time. If the engine still does not start, wait three minutes and try a duplicate key. At this time, fusess hould be checked (see "Fuses and Circuit Breakers" in the Index). If the engine does not start with the duplicate key, your vehicle needs service. See your Cadillac dealer for service.

If the "THEFT SYSTEM PROBLEM' message is displayed during vehicle operationy,o ur vehicle needs servicing. Your vehicle will restart if you turn it off, however, your vehicle may be unprotected. See your Cadillac dealer for service.


If this sin't work, I would suggest that you get the car towed to a service center where they have the diagnostic equipment to determine the actual problem.

First off have you checked for spark? First make sure you have spark then check for fuel pressure at the rail. Start off with the simple things first. Once you've gotten that far let me know and we can go further into the troubleshooting process.
