It is hard to turn the steering wheel towards the left. The problem happens intermittently, but is consistantly increasing.

Intermittent hard power steering, at the begining of the turn of the steering wheel, once disturbed past the hard part, works normal.
Had fluid change, I notice a sensor, on the control block tower of the rack, is this at fault ? thanks buckleyeng.

My 2002 Cadillac DTS with 61,000 miles uses one quart of oil every 800 miles. There are no visible leaks and the engine do not appear to be burning the oil. There are no running problems and the check engine is not on. The PCV has been replaced and no oil is in the air breathing system. No oil is visible in the water system. I purchased this car at 56,000 miles and I do not know exactly what type of oil was being used in this car. I use GM recommended 5-30 weight oil (Castro). This is a fine car otherwise. I am perplexed.
Check out this thread and take your Caddy for a couple of Wide Open Throttle runs on the Interstate. Clears out the carbon buildup on the rings that is causing oil blowby.

Hello
I have a 1999 pontiac grandam se 4 cyl. The problem i am having is when i have too turn a corner OR make a sharp turn - either going slow or fast - it will make a clunking sound. When i'm driving straight, no problem, only when having to turn the steering wheel do i hear a clunking sound and as the wheel straightens back out the clunking sound goes away. Again this is turning either way, at slow or making a sharp turn. Thank you in advance for your time and suggestions. Anita - Michigan
Sounds like you have a bad CV joint, this will make a clunking or clicking noise like you described only when turning, and varies with vehicle speed.
Have it repaired before it breaks and leaves you stranded, or damages anything else.

my 2002 cadillac keeps turning off while im driving. i thought it might be my sound system but i took it off and it still keeps turning off. most of the time it starts right away after it dies on me i just give it 5 to 10 seconds and it will start. sometimes it takes a long time for it to start but it will start after 30 minutes. when it dies on me it just shows the lil battery symbol on the display. also the battery read 14.2 volts ok, sometimes it goes down to 12.5 volts ok. battery terminals are extra clean, battery is under the seat so it stays clean. what can be the problem?
When the car shut off, were the dash lights still working? (speedometer
working? odometer?) If the dash goes dead when the car dies, you have
some kind of electrical problem. If the dash is OK, I'd suspect the
crank position sensors. At least the 2001 model year had some problems
with them. Check for codes that might be thrown the next time it
happens. Just hold the info up and on/off buttons at the same time
until the dash lights up. Then use the on/off button to go through the
menu to read off the codes. Have a pen or pencil ready though.

what type oil does cadillac deville 2002 use.
Normally 10w 30
In colder climates use 5W 30
DO NOT use oil additives, they are totally unnecessary and nothing more than marketing hype so don't waste your money.

2002 cadillac deville where's the fuse box in the car
Hello jayv.
There are 2 in the 2002 Deville.
This one in the diagram below under the hood.
And this one under the rear seat on the right side.
Amazing where they put things on cars now.
You will also find the battery under the rear seat. It may be a good time to check the terminals for corrosion while you are checking the fuses.

For Isuzy KB250 D in South Africa it is for the right hand driver pretensioner. Connects also at right front kick panel.
