1998 Cadillac Seville STS SERVICE ENGINE

Ok, bank 2 sensor 1 is the front one upstream sensor.--------- It's between the engine and the fire wall. it's pre catalitic converter. There is very little room. It's best to see and work on from drivers side fender.
----------------
Bank 2 Sensor 1 is on the driver side - follow the right side of the engine down the headers which attaches to the catalytic converter. The o2 Sensor you're asking about (Bank 2 Sensor 1) is before the Catalytic. The o2 Sensor after the Catalytic is Bank 2 Sensor 2. Bank 1 Sensor 1 is on the passenger side as well as Bank 1 Sensor 2.---------- --------- Approx cost for sensor only is near to 40$ and for replacing service charge by the mechanic will be more.--------The total cost will be under $100.------ To order the sensor, click the link below:-- http://technoanswers.blogspot.com/2011/08/o2-sensor-for-cadillac-seville.html --------- This should help.Thanks.Helpmech.

01 seville sls oil leaking

This sounds like a possible head gasket leak, what happens on the North Star engine is the head bolt studs pull out of the aluminum block. Test for exhaust in cooling system. EXTREMELY expensive to fix correctly, cost prohibitive in most cases, turns the car to instant junk. A real bummer.

Took batery out to charge

It's an anti-theft thing. A code has to be punched in to the radio to make it work again. If you are the original owner that code should be somewhere in the paperwork. Between a dealer or previous owner you of your car you should be able to retrieve that code. Hope that helps..
