The Haynes repair manuals are very good about showing the wiring diagrams for all wired connections. You can go to or contact the dealership and ask if they have one for free. Most wiring diagrams are going to cost if you have lost your owners manual.

The best solution you'll get from books at www.reliable-store.com
These are books containing info on repair, service, troubleshooting, par ts info, assembling dissemble, removal, error/fault codes, wiring diagrams and everything on any vehicles cars, atv, trucks. forklifts, boats, excavators etc
You should check out www.reliable-store.com they have info on repair, service, wiring diagram, electrical diagram, fuse diagram, troubleshooting, PCV, owner's/service/repair/parts manual, fault codes, error codes, etc everything on all vehicles. must check it out
it means there is a fault with the immobilizer, its not sending a signal to say its armed or disarmed, if you have had work done on the ecu it will probably be done to that work being done.
Cooling fan switch ?????? Has a engine coolant temp. sensor , That inputs info to the PCM/ECM - engine computer ! The PCM / ECM interpits the voltage signal from software programmed into it as to what temp . of the coolant is . When the engine coolant temp. reaches
The PCM commands the low-speed fans ON under the following conditions:
• The engine coolant temperature exceeds approximately 106°C (223°F).
• The transmission fluid temperature exceeds 150°C (302°F).
• The A/C pressure reaches 199 psi (1372 kPa).
The cooling fans will switch from low to OFF when the coolant temperature drops below 102°C (216°F).
The PCM commands the high-speed fans ON under the following conditions:
• The engine coolant temperature reaches 112°C (234°F).
• The transmission fluid temperature is more than 151°C (304°F).
• The A/C pressure reaches 260 psi (1792 kPa).
• Certain DTCs are set.
The cooling fans will switch from high to low, except when DTCs are set, when the coolant temperature drops below 106°C (223°F).
The PCM turns on the cooling fans by energizing three different relay's .

Check the HEADLAMP relay in the under fuse / relay box . Plus the high / low beam relay . same location . If those are good can you check B+ voltage an grounds using a DVOM - digital volt ohm meter ? Do you know what a wiring diagram is ? How to read one ? It's always a good idea to do testing of the electrical circuits before replacing parts . A lot of good videos on youtube for learning how to test electrical systems on automobiles .

You can find free wiring diagrams here http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html Enter vehicle info. year , make , model an engine size . Under system click on lighting , under subsystem click on headlamps . Then click the search button ,then each blue link one at a time .
Cadillac sls ? Deville - Seville - eldorado - STS . Does your key have the pellet on the side ? That is a resistor ,an inside the lock cylinder are contacts that touch the pellet on both sides an read the resistance in the instrument cluster . You could measure this resistance with a ohm meter .First the key , then the wires . The lock cylinder has wires coming out of it . If you find these wires under the dash near the steering column . If the resistance is the same at the wires as on the key contacts inside are good . That is the weak link in this system ,after removing an inserting the key a million times wear those contacts . If that is the problem you can do a by - pass . Go to radio shack an by resistors to equel the key pellet . and at the wires solder in the resistors . Watch this video , you can fix it yourself if your handy !

The load side of relay is that line with arrowhead. When the relay is energized that line moves to other terminal. You can see the fuse for load side of relay.
The right side of relay is the control side, has to have voltage and ground. The ground is chassis ground, the voltage should come from pcm.
Now, if you have problem with more than one system, like, no spark--fuel or fuel injector pulse. I look for a rpm signal. I don't know if trouble codes will help, but, I'd check applicable codes, anyway.
The fuel pump is located inside the fuel tank. You can access the fuel tank thru the trunk. Inside the trunk and underneath the carpet, there is a access panel. Remove the five screws and lift the access panel. There under the panel you will see the pump. Disconnect it and take it to the auto parts store as they usually want the old one for an exchange. Joe
