Might just be dirty. Remove cover round steering wheel and check operation when turning right. should be making a soft clicking sound every 1/4 turn. Then turn to left, same should happen. If it does it should be dirt or a weak spring inside the switch assembly. You can strip the switch and clean it if you are confident enough or take it to an auto electrician. Worse case scenario you will need a new switch

1994 Subaru impreza GLX auto won't go into reverse. No other gearbox problems, transmission fluid fine.
Drain all the transmission fluid, pull the pan, get a **** Chilton or Hayes manual, and get to the valve body of the transmission. That is probably blocked with all kinds of stuff. A lot of people would just say to flush it out, and replace the filter, but at this point, it might introduce more stuff back into the transmission, blocking the (possibly already blocked) high pressure lines. The valve body is much nicer to work on than the lines themselves.

Hi, I wonder if your blower has a short and is causing the battery to draw down. Do you have a voltmeter you could use to troubleshoot? I will look up the wiring diagram to see what I can figure out.

My 1994 Subaru Impreza
seems
Sounds like a broken shifter or linkage issue. But you can do this:
Go to online site of autozone, oreillys...etc and you may have to register but they have free online step by step manuals.
