this sounds like the security system is not disarming when unlocking vehicle , do you have a key fob or just a normal key ?

new drivers door you drop battery neg lug first before work(per fsm warnings) you made short circuit and borked the vtss or skim so not the immoblizer lamp in dash glows, it dont lie. as that cuts fuse after 3 second run time (by design!) use a scan tool see what errors you have, that be first. check all fuses 1st first;.

could be the starter relay or loose or bad connection at the starter or battery.

is it full of fluid. if so then it needs to be rebuilt.if low on fluid leak must be fixed transmission will be runed

idle is set too low, needs a tune up, air cleaner, etc.

I don't understand your question. Follow the instructions in the owners manual I guess.

if this is something that just happened now, make sure the car is on park, and that may be what's wrong. but if you have had trouble with it before, you may have a bad starter. best luck to you.

If by "welts" you mean some kind of plastic or rubber trim, clean area with 3M adhesive cleaner, then use 3M Black weather strip adhesive.

By the look of those part numbers in your post, those are OEM Chysler Jeep part numbers, but before I can help you with your problem. I need to know what is going on first. fuses first. as always for ever. (its all electrical ,now to run engine) and shift. All jeeps 93 + have a thing (fear box) ASD relay. nowing how it works and why , makes all this easy any scan tool will tell you why. Innova 3120 (does jeeps this year) a $100 tool http://www.walmart.com/ip/Equus-3120-Innova-Diagnostic-Code-Scanner/14644658 with special cables for jeep , OBD1 DTC port. the tool will tell you , what DTC failure and why ASD drops. http://www.fixkick.com/Jeeps/ASD.html the key on ,off trick may work but be warned the keyone off trick does clear some spark failure codes and will not tell you the extended codes, of the factory DRB tool. so the INNOVA can be a "revelation" id never own any jeep before 1996 , with no scan tool. not me. first time it saves you, its now PAID FOR. Investment grade TOOLS. if ever there was. not $100 shop labor and no tools and guessing parts. win.

If you think they are dirty the easest way to clean them from home run it till it only has a quarter of a tank then go to the parts store and buy 3 can/bottles os SEA FOAM (red & white can) dump in tank and drive it like you stole it.

Surges are usually from dirty throttle body's, idle air control motors, or airfilters. I would clean or replace these first. Other things could be O2 sensors, or bad catalytic converters.

With a multimeter. It's under one of the seats.

You need to get it to a dealer or other shop that has the diagnostic tools to accuratly diagnose the issue. You will spend more money guesing at parts than you will at getting the test ran. If you get a clear answer from the dealer come back and we can help you with any questions you have about what they said or how to make the repair, but trying to guess at your problem is not the way to go, there are too many things that can be the issue for anyone to give you a correct answer with out a diagnostic check.
