Unless you are stranded on a desert island (I hope not,) write down EVERY fuse listed on the panel of the fuse block. Go to the auto parts store and replace each and every one, blown or not. *NOTE: This is no time to play mix & match, do it right. As far as the start issue, it could be many things, but I am guessing you blew a master fuse (relay) in the engine compartment with the "moving around" of the fuses.

2004 Audi A4 3.0 - Oil pressure Problem
2800.00 for an oil pump? Sounds expensive. Is it only for the pump or is other work involved? There are hoses that deteriorate that have to be replaced and an engine flush that usually goes with that repair. Also your engine may have to be replaced if there is bearing damage to the camshafts or crankshaft. This is a common problem with 1.8T's. You are not the original owner,so are you repairing the car from the selling dealer? It make a difference when your trying to get assistance. You also must have proof that all services were completed, preferably by a dealer. If you have all that and still only offer half take it and be happy! I’m happy to help further over the phone at

Fuel filter may be clogged, replace. Fuel pump may be failing, replace. Never let your vehicle "run out of gas" as all the residue collected in the bottom of the gas tank, will migrate through the system and create problems.

Audi fans stay on all the time
What do you mean all the time? when engine is running?
if you are on a hot climate the fans help dissipate excessive heat build up when the vehicle is stationary. what is the water temperature tell you when you are not moving?
could be that the thermostat is not 100% functional to fully open after engine heated properly and the computer attempts to remove excessive heat to prevent overheating of the engine or the engine temperature sensor is giving false readings that tell the computer that the fans need to be on to do the above.
i recommend that you do a scan of the engine, first to check for errors history, then if none are found while driving and afterwards stationary to see what the temperature reads are.
after engine shutdown usually they can still remain on up to a minute to eliminate excess heat from the radiator.
let me know if it helped.
cheers,
Florian

No electrical function in driver's door, i.e. windows, mirrors, door locks
Hello,
you need to verify the cables that lead to the door by gently pulling the rubber protection located center, between pillar and door.
over there you might have damaged wire/s that can explain this.
question: when you put the key in to unlock the driver door and then you do not start the engine does the alarm go off? normally the computer should realize the door is open and warn if the engine is not started to start the alarm. if this does not happen then it is a wiring issue.
also you should remove the door panel as you have there contacts that if the door was not properly serviced in the event of repairing power windows can get oxidized by water damage, case in which you should take them apart, clean up by means of contact spray then put them back on.
if this does not help one should get a diagnose as the comfort computer can be damaged.
let me know if it helped.
respectfully,
Florian
