There are ways to bypass the system, but without knowing what the correct resistance in the chip is, its not going to be easy or cheap.There are a dozen or so different chips, each with a different resistance. The resistance completes the circuit for the VATS system sensor. You can buy a trick box to wire into the circuit, or have the computer changed to skip the VATS signal.As long as the computer you have now does not get the signal from the VATS the injectors will not work.

The trick is to pop the circlip on the end of the axle shaft out of its groove in the transmission gears. Shops use a fork on the inner CV joint housing, attached to a slide hammer.What usually works is to use a pry bar or large screwdriver between the CV housing and the transmission case, and pop the axle out. Be careful of damaging the axle seal on the transmission.

I have a 1998 GMC Safari van in which the cruise control has quit. It didn't go all at once. It would work intermittently. Sometimes going 5 miles or so and then shutting off and then after another few miles, it would set again. This sounds to me like something getting hot. Is there a circuit breaker for the cruise control...or?I can't seem to find a good schematic/diagram for the unit. Driving me nuts! I don't want to have to buy a whole new module if there is a simple fix.Anyone?

When you say the starter has power, are you saying it has power on the large post and on the small post when the key switch is in the start position ? Can you jump the terminals and make it crank ?

fuel mixture is out burning rich try the air filter in case is blocked up ,most likely fault is the mixture control which is govened by sensors controled by the ECU

You'll have to try going thru the grille or from under the bumper to access the hood latch.You might want to look at another GM product to gauge were the latch is in your car.Sometimes you can use a coat hanger as a hook to pull the latch from outside the grille or between the grille and hood. Or use a long screwdriver from under the bumper.

you have almost ten questions on here about this car. One you said the motor wont start. anouther you said the car runs but then stalls when you stop or turn. so why dont you post what is actually wrong with it so it can get fixed?

First brakes rust you have to clean if can or replace.Shift problem happen even driving every day.In side cable you have to spry WD 40.where is shifter.

well i guess ur not gettting any gas!!! try checking fuel pump! remove hose at the intake and put in a big can! have an assistant turn over for you,if it shoots gas out quick it goood! if it works good then use compressed air and blow back through line!
