you may have a bad thermostat in the engine. if you have a temp guage, does it read hot? check the coolant level in the radiator 1st it may only need coolant added to it.if all this is good you may have a bad heater control valve on the dash panel.that means the old one will have to come out of the dash and a new one reinstalled.most of the time i've found that it's only low coolant though so don't panic.if you need instructions on thermostat removal post the question and we'll be happy to help!! hope i helped and thank you for choosing fixya.com

Make sure battery has a full charge. If it cranks good but won't start, check the basics. Have a helper crank it while you visually check for spark at the spark plugs, if spark everywhere, use a gage and check proper fuel pressure. I looked at info for the 3.8L engine, 35--40 psi. Also, after you build fuel pressure, turn off the key, see if fuel pressure holds for a bit? If the pressure drops like a rock, check for fuel pressure leak. Check the vac line for fuel pressure regulator, if it has gas in it, the regulator is faulty, or a leaking fuel injector. The pressure could also drain back through fuel pump. Also, check fuel injector pulse, engine cranking. Any applicable trouble codes? Smell of the crankcase oil dipstick, if it smells like gas, either you don't change oil and filter very often or the engine is running very rich for some reason.

The lights might be on a relay. If so you can find the relays under the dash to the left of the driver. Usually with the fuses. If not then there has to be a ground short in the wiring harness somewhere. Ground shorts are difficult to find. There could be a rare problem with a bulb. You could try removing the bulbs one at a time to see if a bad bulb is the cause. Hope this helps.

I had this happen to my 1998 Grand Marquis. The turn signals and flashers went thru the same switch on the steering column. I took a can of electrical spray cleaner and sprayed the switch. Then I pushed the switch on and off real fast and then pounded on the steering column near the switch. I did this several times until the corrosion came off the switch. They have both worked ever since.

My lincoln had the same problem. on a lot of ford cars the have a seprate ignition for starting the car then the computer takes over after eng, starts you are not getting power the the starting module. In my case the weak connection was in the main wiring harness through the fire wall connector.

What colour oil is it, if it's white or red then it sounds like the tranny oil is leaking, but only if it is a automatic, if a manual then it has migration of oil into a water jacket and will need to be fixed, by replacing the head gasket

Change the fuel pump relay located under the plastic cover on top of the radiator in between the front end and the radiator at the top There are multiple relays in the box and you should just replace the whole thing. costs about 80 dollars

You don't. .take it to a reputable garage and let them repair it.if you just install a new air bag without replacing crash sensors, clockspring, air bag module and safing sensor, you may deploy the new air bag,possiably causing major bodily harm. ..stay away from it!!! A static shock from you connecting it could set of air bag..

Where are you measuring on the system to find the pressure? What pressure have you got?
