I shudder every time I see the "new engine solution" to a problem ( unkess I read that there was no oil and the engine will not turn over) you have to know the copmression pressures before you can decide if that is the real reason for the misfires the compression readings can be as low as 120psi ( down from 165psi for a good engine) and then both a dry and wet test done to confirm engine condition requiring a "new " engine compression figures can vary 10% between cylinders before it is considered necessary to do something so move on to other problems random misfires (code p 0300) can be electronic which is coils , ignition control modules , distributor cap , HT leads , plugs , injector /s wiring and ECM or it can be from faulty injectors( dirty ) low fuel pressure , mechnaical ( loose valve seat inserts from your description and you obviously are not convinced by the new engine arguement I would be taking it to anoher accredited service center conversant with your make and have them run the fault codes again, check the fuel pressure , and the cat converter for failure and blocking the exhaust just some ideas to start with

Could be the FAN MOTOR, COOLING FAN TURN ON SENSOR, even the PCM. There are 2 fuses . Also check fuse panel under hood in engine compartment

The spring was part of the maufactured original hose for your caddi but if your replacing the hose take the spring out it will work just fine. I have a 1995 caddi n ive already delt with this issue

Reach under the dash just right of ur pkg brake pedal and feel up and there is a small lever. pull and there you go.

Often as not the fuel filter is along the inside frame rail under or just aft of the rear door. That's where it was on 1990. I don't know your car specifically but that's where I'd look first. And definitely skip the Haynes for a Cadillac. I've used them on normal cars and they're barely passable but if you want to open up a Cadillac FSM is the only way to go.
