Which engine do you have.

check that your carb floats are shutting off fuel when bowl is full.

I would tend to think it was the head gasket, but it could be almost any of the gaskets / seals within the engine. If you get oil and water mixing within the engine , found by iol turning gloopy white I would be more sure about the head gasket. I did not think that head gasket replacement was really expensive, certainly less than valve covers.. Sorry can't be more helpful without seeing it and that is not possible.

The latch is adjustable on both the trunk lid and the body.

Sounds like you engine is overheating. Have you checked to see if your radiator fans are working ? Check fuses and also for any codes on your ECM

Clean the runners and spray with a bit of WD 40.

Check fuses

Hi Shauna, do you know where to look for your hazard flasher relay ? If you still have the vehicles Owners Manuel it will be in there, If not you will need to find the Fuse panel under dash, There in the fuse panel will be a round, silver or even square object coming out of the fuse panel, It will have two prongs sticking out of when you pull it out, That is the Turn Signal/Hazard flasher relay, There also my be two of them in Fuse Panel. pull both out and replace there not very expensive.Hope this Helps, Good Luck Randy. Did you check voltage and ground wiring for problem brake lamp? White wire with tan tracer is voltage for brake lamp. Black wire is ground. You need good voltage and ground. You can use a test light to check voltage and ground. Note the diagram.

check wheel bearings check brake pads and rotors I would go for failed wheel bearings

If you have removed the retainer nuts, it will come off. The wiper arms slide on to a splined shaft (so they won't slip when operated) and the often get corroded on (you may see a "whitish" powder around the spline. There are several things to try. 1.) Just grab and wiggle it as you gently pull. 2.) pry it up gently with a tool like a screw driver while wiggling and pulling (be careful - the glass windshield is not far away.) 3.) put a few drops of penetrating oil on the exposed spline where you removed the retaining nut and let it soak for 30 minutes, then start over with number one. When it does break free, be ready as it may pop off rather emphatically. You can avoid this next time if you put a very fine coat of anti-sieze grease on the splines before you re-assemble it. They do come off - really :-)

the filter is located on top of the fuel tank. you will have to lower the tank to replace it. if your changing it due to a running symptom then you should check the fuel pressure and volume with a gage. as this can cause a running problem.

Hi Joyce , i would have the OBD codes read by a mechanic , this will tell you exactly what sensor/switch is at fault , this will save you time and money as there are a few things that could cause the problem you're experiencing , keep me posted if you wish
