Heater started blowing intermittent hot and cold air. The mechanic said the heater core was fine and that it was electrical. We replaced the switch unit which was what he suggested, but now it only blows cold air. What are we missing?
Check both heater hoses under hood to see if they get hot, if they do the heater is fine. need to check to see if the selection doors inside the unit are opening and closing.

drain radiator.. remove upper and lower radiator hoses ,,remove transmission lines..remove bolts from cover on top of radiator.. lift out radiator.

the hood release cable is broken and I cannot get the main latch to open on hood
Is there any part of the cable inside the cabin that you can pull with a pair of pliers? I suggest that you try that. You may need to disassemble it from the pull handle to make that work.

1998 chrsyler concord, oil pan threads are stripped , is a pan saver ok to use or should i replace the oil pan
You should replace the pan. Pan saver plugs are for temporary use only.

follow your top radiator hose to your engine, it is located in that housing.

transmission will not shift into overdrive replaced filter and fluid check engine light is on fluid seemed to different color from one side of the filter to other all five codes are on did shift to 3rd 2 to 3 times no warnings of any prior problems that something was wrong just turned 80,000 miles 1998 2.7 could it be solenoid pack or something else
overdrive will normally only come on after the engine has warmed up, there is a thermal switch from the cooling system that regulates overdrive.

I am changing the transmission fluid in my 1998 chrysler concorde. How many quarts does it take and where is the fluid put in?
If your dropping the pan and replacing the filter than it would be a good idea to have six quarts of ATF+4 handy. You will add four quarts after you reinstall the transmission pan.
With the vehicle on a level surface;
Start the vehicle, put your foot on the brake, and put the transmission in each gear for a couple of seconds. Return the transmission to park.
Check the fluid level. It should be about in the middle of the crosshatch area on the dipstick. If it is low add a half a quart at a time until it is at the proper level.
Put the transmission in each gear again and then recheck the level. Topping of as necessary.
You should be good to go after that!
